Yeah… I am not talking about the dark grey bar of the backend… I am talking about the actual navigation bar of the site… Is created when you scroll down and the logo disappears up… The links remain, fixed into this white bar…
Thank you anyway ??
There is the possibility that it automatically includes a class (in that case all I have to do is targeting it)… Alternatively I can double check as there is a feature inside that allows me to change the padding for each element individually… In the end the ancors are 3… ??Thank you Steve… This is quite insightful! Just a question… I created the ancors using Elementor. Do you know if it’s possible to assign a class to them even if created in Elementor? I guess I will have to check into the options if it’s possible to do that…
Seen the ancors go to the position y=0 (top of the browser window) the contents are covered by the navigation bar that stays over the rest of the site… I guess because of a z-index of 1…
I mean the navigation bar of the site… Basically a small rectangle on the top that takes the whole browser width containing the links…
It is around 30/40 pixel height but it convers titles of the sections you are sent to through ancors.

In reply to: Footers – How to create them?Problem is that I need to have two different footers, one for Italian and one for English… Do you suggest to add a widget here or to include th html code directly into the footer?

In reply to: Footers – How to create them?Basically I’m using the Twenty Sexteen theme for my page (that doesn’t include a widget area). I’d like to add a nice footer to add informations to all pagesa (I’m working on a landing page but would like to add additional features in the future).
The page will also be multilanguage, and for this reason the footer should be multilanguage too.
For now the solution I found is to design a new page with Elementor Basic {just the footer}, show the page and copy the resulting html code.
Paste the code into the child theme footer in order to show it on all the pages.Problem #1: The footer requires additional tweaks as some of the elements will lose the style… for this reason I’ll have to add a class and define it as !important or the tweaks will not be visible.
Problem #2: The widget will not be multy language… Polylang will not translate the it as it will be integrated into the bottom informations of the page.Do you have another idea on how I can place a footer on the page?
You can come back to me saying that being a landing page I could place the footer directly on the bottom of the page using Elementor, but I’m soon planning to add a blog section where my client will be able to post short curiosity about the B&b so the footer should be applied to all pages.Thank you for your help guys!

In reply to: Footers – How to create them?He problem is the right method… How should I proceed to create a footer including all the features needed for a landing page? And more importantly how do I make sure it works (on all the pages)?
I saw some tutorials where they use plugins, others where they use widgets… I was thinking to create a div and including what I need… But at the moment I have hidden using the CSS the ‘powered by’ sentence that appears in the small footer of the twenty sexteen theme…
This is mainly the question… Should I alter that footer (maybe using some new files in the child theme)? And in that case how can I include widgets and plugins (for example the social media icons)?
Thank you and forgive me for the lots of questions… I tried to summarize as much as I could.
Do you mean the logo of the company at the top of the website?
Technically you can simply remove it in the settings of wordpress backend.
Alternatively if you manage to identify the div containing it you simply have to set it as hidden into the child theme of the site.
I’d suggest to remove the logo from settings as search engines still consider hidden contentrs while indexing the page.
I’m sure that there are more quilified people than me to help you with this, but just in case feel free to ask more and I’ll trey to help at my best ??

In reply to: How to get info about a themeI’m actually thinking to “update” my actual website recreating those parts that in my opinion don’t work and keeping the main features, in order to avoid to recreate the whole website from scratch.
What I don’t really like at the moment is how the works are organised on the home page: https://www.madquake.net
I’d like to have them showed as here. Probably with Workality Lite I can do the same. I noticed that plugins like Jetpack or WP-Tiles [as staartmees suggested] allow me to tile a gallery. Here the problem is that the actuall gallery is automatically generated by WP as a result of creating a portfolio on the “work” section.Going on step by step… does someone know if it’s possible to modify how the images of the portfolio coul be shown on the home page? In other terms… is it possible to tile these images?
Thank you so much for your help!

In reply to: How to get info about a themeI tried with the plugins but they work well as fixed elements on the page. At the moment for my personal portfolio I’m using a child theme of “Workality lite”, a free Wp template. I created a child theme and for now it works decently. I’d like to add more “spice” to my website but despite te fact that I created a Child Theme in order to modify some CSS the layout doesn’t seem customizable.
An example is on the home page, where I placed the icons of my works. I like the fact that the works possess a tag and in this way a possible user can show just what he’s interested in… What I don’t like is the layout of the grid… the images are too small and there is too much text. The grid is generated by default in the template and I don’t think that it could be modified in any way.
Do you think is better for me to find a new template and start from scratch or maybe try to modify the template I’m using at the moment?Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Workality Lite's problem when transferred from local to serverWoah so quick!
Answering your questions:
It doesn’t happen with the other themes as the portfolio [work] section of this, is unique of this theme. if I switch theme I cannot visualise the portfolio.I didn’t try to deactivate all the plugins as the problems manifest when I move the website from local to server or vice versa. I started this website on MAMP and then I moved it online. In that occasion I had to insert again all the images into each page of the portfolio [but in that case I just started so I didn’t have to re add a lot of images].
Now that the website is online I want to create a copy in local to experiment other things [I’d like for example to make it multi language, but seen that I never used any of those widget I’d rather prefer to work on a backup version]. The problem is that when I transferred back the website from server to local I had the same problem that I had before from local to server. As I said is quite weird because I think that both images and links to the external videos are into the database. More weird is that the pages with just videos still show it while the pages containing just images or images AND videos don’t show anything even in backend.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: A Portfolio Template like BehanceHi…
I’ve checked the theme. Unfortunately I don’t understand if it can load on the same page multiple images and multiple videos.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: A Portfolio Template like BehanceHi Jay, thank you for your answer.
Unfortunately my programming skills are still a little bit weak.Do you think that’s something possible for a novice?
