In reply to: HELP ME PLEASE! all my wordpress just suddenly deleted!Give your host a call. It’s possible they have a recent backup on their servers and can use it to restore your site. You may lose a few posts, but hopefully they can help you. Also, if your site has made it into the search engines, you may be able to retrieve some from google cache.
Good luck.. I’ve been there… it’s *not* fun.
Next, install a backup plugin and backup often!

In reply to: How to read stats?Mundford, I look at my hosting’s stats via aw stats. I also use wordpress stats. I don’t like google analytic it is always much lower in comparison to the two others. I’ve always heard aw stats actually uses information from your server, so it’s traffic is more reliable… except it doesn’t filter out bot traffic.
For me, it’s not so much about the numbers, as it is about how much I have grown over time. I compare this months stats to last months, and this months to last year… and see how my site visitors have grown over time.
Use RSS and you can track how many poeple subscribe to your feed.. how many come back to read.. I prefer the email rss, so I know it goes right to their mailbox.
Keep working hard, keep writing good posts and your traffic will grow and the stats will show your growth over time.

In reply to: Looking for a tool that makes blogs linking easierTry SEO Smart Links or Cross-Linker. SEO Smart links automatically picks out keywords and titles of posts and links to other keywords within a post. Very little setup.
Cross-linker requires you to go in and set up, what keywords link to which posts, but works great after you get it set up.. just have to make sure you update it to keep it current.
Personally, I like SEO SL best.

In reply to: Breadcrumb Navigation XT problemHey poelman, go to the code you placed in your header. Part of the code asks the home title – it’s probably default to “weblog”.. just change that to your sites name.
Here’s what I changed:
//Set the home_title to Blog
$breadcrumb_trail->opt[‘home_title’] = “Momma Muse”;Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Plugin: WordPress.com Stats] Fix the plugin !My wp.com stats plugin has been working just fine for a *long* time.
One day I went to check the stats and it asked me to login, I did and it refreshed the login page asking me to login (again).
At the time, I had made *no* changes to anything. Heck, I hadn’t even posted in a few weeks. I can view my stats from the wordpress.com website, so I at least have that, but much less convenient.
Another site I have for a friend, all she gets is a stats graph that registers no hits… everything is fine on her site.

In reply to: Are you sure you want to edit this post?I’m having the same issue… it asks if I want to edit post… either option usually results in a lost post – I’ve definitely gotten in the habit of copying my post before I bother trying to publish it.
I’m using version 2.2.2, and FireFox.

In reply to: Photo GalleriesI use falbum found here: https://www.randombyte.net/blog/ It works with flickr.com.
You can see mine in action at https://www.mommamuse.com – I have it set to show random images in the sidebar, but also displays a photo gallery here: https://www.mommamuse.com/photos-home/
Took some tweaking, but once up, works great.

In reply to: Google Ads Not Appearing in PostsI’ve had this problem before. I ended up having to put a paragraph tag around the google ad script and give it a style code <p style=”text-align:left;width:243;”>google ad script I added the whole thing to the google ad deluxe area where it says to insert the code.

In reply to: Default and custom permalinks not working correctly on WP2.0I am using Journalized Blue and experiencing the same thing. If I’m understanding correctly, that is…
Oddly enough, I have a clean install here (via fantastico) https://www.momslittlegarden.com/articles with the same permalink structure and it works..
On the upgraded version, though, here https://www.momslittlegarden.com/birth-stories it doesn’t work.Any fix to this? I really don’t want to change my structure.

In reply to: images are there, but aren’t showingWell, thankfully my partner was able to check the coding in her journalized theme and found this:
/* this fixes an IE bug with aligned or floated images */
.storyContent img {
position:relative;
}Added this to the css code for MMM and what do you know! We have pictures! Yay!

In reply to: images are there, but aren’t showingThat doesn’t change anything.
This was all working in the other theme we were using. It seems like it would be in the coding somehow.

In reply to: images are there, but aren’t showingNo… something isn’t right. Here… look at this article:
https://www.mindful-mother-magazine.com/articles/2005/08/mind-your-mother-august/In the article, top paragraph is a woman. What *I* see is a blank white spot. If I take out the css code I have for it:
img.right { padding: 4px; margin: 0 0 2px 7px; float:right; }
(class=”right”)
I get a white spot. The picture is there – no red x, and the alt tag shows up, but no picture. I know there is a problem, I’ve asked others if they can see and they can’t.If I take out the class, the image shows, but not in alignment where I want.

In reply to: images are there, but aren’t showingI see all the images except ones IN my articles. I cleared my cache and they still aren’t showing. It’s really odd…
Anyone have any other suggestions?
