• I have a theme that has option-tree integrated with the theme. It came as part of the theme’s files and does not show as a plug-in on the site. The theme can with 2.0.9 packaged in it and now no longer works.

question: can I just upload a new version of option-tree into the option-tree folder that came with the theme or is there some other way I should upgrade it?

I suggest you ask the author who provided you that theme. Uploading the folder that way may work or it may horribly break that theme.

Yeah Im working that angle too but he doesn’t seem too eager to fix his theme…. ??

It look like you updated your WP to new version. In this situation you can’t ask theme author fix issues for free if he don’t want. You should pay him (or someone) to fix issues. Otherwise, you can downgrade WP to version that theme supported.

Agreed. I was simply pointing out that since he is continuing to sell the theme I would think that it would be in his best interest to make it compatible with the current version of wordpress.

I was able to fix my issue by following this:
