Yes. Have not figured out how to solve the background color problem in the edit area of the front-end posting window. Looking for suggestions on what to try from the admin’s dashboard.
Thanks for that information. It is true, however, that except for the problem of bleeding background color, we have had no problems using WPUF on our many subsites. The posts all show up on the subsite’s list of posts, and they can be edited on the page which I call “Edit Your Own Posts Here.” So for our purposes, the only problem has been the background color.
Is Multisite supported with WPUF Pro?

In reply to: [Import and export users and customers] Multisite-old method not workingMy apologies!!!!! My problem, I believe, is that I had capitalized the first letter of username and email. Once I named those fields correctly and selected “update roles” it all worked perfectly!

In reply to: [Import and export users and customers] Multisite-old method not workingI am getting that error message now for all combinations of parameters related to existing users and to roles. I had previously been at 1.17.1.1, but updated to 1.17.1.3 and still got the same errors. Peculiar because I was able to use this program last week under 1.17.1.1 except for having “Subscriber” substitute for the role I selected in the .csv file.

In reply to: [Import and export users and customers] Multisite-old method not workingI get an error message regardless of which “update roles” choice I use: “yes override and update existing roles” or “yes add new roles and not override existing roles.” Remember these users have roles on another site within the multisite but are new to this particular site. Here’s the message:
2 Some of the next roles “Author” does not exists error
3 Some of the next roles “Editor” does not exists error
4 Some of the next roles “Author” does not exists errorForum: Plugins
In reply to: [Import and export users and customers] Multisite-old method not workingI just did a test of adding to an individual multipress site users who exist elsewhere in the multipress. They were successfully added but there was one problem: Your default of “Subscriber” role overrode the choice of Role I gave each person on the .csv file. I would defer to the CSV file and only use that default if you had no value to assign. Otherwise worked fine.

In reply to: [Import and export users and customers] Multisite-old method not workingThanks. I just happened to notice that you had updated the plugin to address my problem. I will test it in the next week and let you know if there are any problems.

In reply to: [Import and export users and customers] Multisite-old method not workingHi Javier,
I’d like to report on how I finally resolved the problem of adding “existing” users to another site within a multisite setup. To refresh your memory, when I had members of the multisite who were not yet members of one of the specific sites, I would add them to that site by “update existing users” and it looked like they were being added, but they weren’t in fact added.
What I discovered just now is that if I changed the box “update roles” from “no” to “yes” then they WERE ADDED as desired. It wasn’t obvious that that would be needed but in fact that was the trick that made it work.
Fixed! Thanks.
I did find a temporary workaround, but I’m not going to use it unless the problem does not get fixed. There’s a plug-in called Post Type Switcher that enables one to move a Post to the Page list and vice versa. But the problem is still that publication of a page should not result in an editing screen of any kind.
Yes, I sent in a Loom video in response to the email I received from you. Here again is the URL:

In reply to: [Import and export users and customers] Multisite-old method not workingSo my request is to somehow return the plug-in to the way in worked before on multisite. That is, if I had the person as a member in another site in the same multisite, I would add them to the new site as an existing member…(I’m not sure what other use one would have for the “existing member” add) It worked perfectly!
Addendum: Problem exists for Editor-level but not for Admin.
The page that the writer of the page is sent to is called “Editing Selected Post” (not “edit your post”). But again, it is about POSTS, not PAGES and the PAGE is moved to the POST section.

In reply to: [Import and export users and customers] Multisite-old method not workingI thought that’s what you meant with the following from your documentation page:
“Multisite is activated Plugin can assing users to blogs after importing them roles. This is how it works:
” You have to create a column called ‘blogs’: if cell is empty, it won’t assign users to any blog; if cell has a value, it will be used. You have to fill it with blog_id
Multiple blogs can be assigned creating a list of blog ids using commas to separate values.—–
But while that would be nice, the way I use your plug-in is to add people to individual class sites (i.e., subdirectories) one class at a time. That’s the way I had been using Import/Export/etc. for the past 3 years on this same multisite.
Finally, let me put in a plug for the broad applicability of multisite. There are many organizations with components that involve a subset of organization members. For organizational websites, it is important to allow access (and notifications using notification plug-ins) just to the members of that component (class, in our case). WordPress provides a great structure for this, but we need to be able to assign members to each component independently. Note that in our case, people can have more than one class, so each component needs to be able to be populated independently. It’s not just dividing the large group into non-overlapping pieces.
