In reply to: Comment Notification Stopped in 2.9.2@esmi – Thanks for the quick response. I did all what you suggested, but no go. They didnt work.
I was excited to see such a great reply and I thought one step would at least work, but unfortunately, they didn’t.
Any other suggestions?

In reply to: XML Sitemap Not Updating AutmoaticlyI think it is just not compatible with V. 2.9.2 now. It hasn’t worked for me since Ive upgraded to the latest wordpress version.
I will be deactivating it till there is an update. Hopefully I can find something that will substitute it till then.

In reply to: New Install – Plugin Installer Not WorkingI suppose I should mention that I got it fixed. It was actually the Host. It was an FTP issue they had to fix on their end.
Same prob here. I’ve manually refreshed it, removed it and added it but nothing happens. It’s also saying that, “Your sitemap is being refreshed at the moment. Depending on your blog size this might take some time!” all the time.

In reply to: New Install – Plugin Installer Not WorkingHave you found a solution to this yet.
I can update plug-ins that are already installed, but as far as using the Plugin Browser/Installer or the ‘install’ links on the new plug-ins I get the ‘You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.’ message.
I’ve already tried the permissions to 777 and opened EVERYTHING up all the way (I know, dangerous) just to see if it would work, but it didn’t and then closed everything back down to the more secure 644 and 755. So file permissions Obviously don’t seems to be the problem.
I’ve manually deleted all the files on the host and uploaded a fresh install, and still no go.
I’ve even used the database cleanup script somebody suggested in another thread and that didn’t help either.
Has anybody found a solution to this yet? There are a lot of threads on this topic, but I still haven’t found one with a solution.
help?

In reply to: You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page@ issy-m Did the force but it didn’t work.
I had to actually have my host do something on their end to resolve one problem.
They had to make changes to their PHP server and now the plugin update on the full plugin menu works.
However, on the Dashboard the Featured Plugin section still doesn’t work when clicking on the ‘install’ link.
I have seen some featured plugins there and wanted to install them using the ‘install’ link. The gray window opens and shows the ‘You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page’ line instead of the actual plugin information page.
I have just finished removing ALL of the wordpress files on my site and uploaded all of them again with the latest download package, and it didn’t fix the problem.
File permissions are set properly on both Directories and files.
I don’t know what else to do from this point.

In reply to: Upgrading Plugins automaticallyYea. I believe it’s host related. I had no issues with this until my hosts HD failed and now I can’t update automatically. I now get same error.

In reply to: Unable to upgrade pluginsI just started to get this error after my Hosts Server HD crashed. now It gives me the same problem now. This is definitely a Host issue.

In reply to: You do not have sufficient permissions to access this pageAs far as the admin page that lists all the plug-in being used and if one needs an upgrade, the automatic upgrade works fine. It logs in through it’s FTP settings, upgrades and reactivated the plug-in.
But on the Dashboard, if there is a WordPress upgrade, I’ll get the, “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” error. The same thing goes when you click the install link in the ‘Most Popular’ Plug-ins section on the Dashboard.
I’ve sett all my directory permissions to 777 to see if it was a file permissions problem, but it gave same error.
@claytonjames all of them links you have there are for older version of WP, and don’t help out any since this is a WP 2.7 feature that’s not working.
Doesn’t anybody from WP Dev team read these threads?
A fix to this feature would be really appreciated.Forum: Plugins
