Do I make the site url the old original place where the admin files are or are both names the new name?

ie

Do I do a manual install of the latest wordpress files via ftp? Will that likely fix this problem? I’ve tried uploading a new widgets.php file and no good ??

There had been a few new plug-ins, but I renamed those plug-in folders already and had also renamed the plug-in folder entirely too (to plugin-old) and no that hadn’t worked. I just now retried by renaming the plugin folder again to plugin-old and doing a debug with that to see if I got a different error output (and it was)

Is it something in the pluggable.php file calling for a widget too soon? What is pluggable.php associated with I wonder?

Thank you! I really appreciate the feedback and it is as I had suspected. I appreciate the clarification as I have heard of someone doing this and I was concerned about the encryption aspect, especially when I heard some were sending him credit card details via the form!

I don’t know why, but I have managed to figure out that when an image is uploaded it writes it with permissions 660, and if I change manually to 664 then I can use the images.

Is there a file I need to change somewhere so the permission is correctly written?

This is still a very manual task, but at least now I may have some hints about where the problem might be?

Changed the permalink structure to something else then back again and all my pages came back.
