  • i’m also getting this. arghh!!! i suspect it may be fixed in the latest version, but it requires upgrading to wordpress 2.7, and i’m not ready to do that yet. any other ideas?

i am having the same problem. how and where do you contact support at www.remarpro.com?? every time i try, i end up at wordpress.com, who tells me — sorry, but your blog isnt hosted here.

I would love to have this too.

It’s not Firefox. It’s not the plug-ins. I can duplicate this error on multiple browsers, including IE, firefox and safari. It happens after importing data from a different wordpress database. It never occured on the wordpress hosted version even after upgrading to 2.5.1.
I have “fixed” it by deleting all uploads, posts, pages, comments, categories, tags and users and then importing again. Problem is that sometimes the import does not complete and then you have to start all over again. Do NOT import more than once. It will create a huge mess with duplicate categories, etc. I’m stuck right now using the previous database hosted by wordpress.com until this problem is acknowledged and solved. 2.5.2???

I can verify that this problem exists upon importing. I have duplicated the error three separate times now. I haven’t tried the “fix” yet, but am wondering if anyone is working on debugging the code that causes the problem in the first place rather than cleaning up the database after it happens.

I am having this identical problem after upgrading to 2.5.1. After much trial and error I determined the following. The problem is definitely related to categories and importing from a previous blog. If I start with a new data base there is no problem at all writing and posting. Then when I import the posts, pages etc. from my old blog at wordpress.com, the writing of posts is a little laggy. (30 second load time). If I import a 2nd time (in order to update the latest post and comments), the lag time increases to 2 minutes. If I wait sufficiently long, I will get an error stating that a script in the program has stopped responding. If I stop the script and view the source of the page I see that the program is running in a loop checking a list of my categories over and over again. I can “fix” it by deleting the Sql DB and starting all over again with a single import.
