Ok, thanks! For some reason the file re-appeared in the /uploads/css folder when I restored a backup. I’m almost sure that before the back-up I deleted that file and also deleted the plugin. Is that possible? Or am I mistaking? ??

Looks like it can be edited manually in the file:

themes/wp-simple/parts/example-banner_content.php

I want to edit the header text:

“A RESPONSIVE THEME FOR WORDPRESS

But can’t find it where to edit…

We’re not using the icons outside of WordPress. We will not use the icons on our website or any other material.

We will use the ‘calendar’ icon just for our plugin in WordPress itself. I see some other plugins use the default ‘wheel’ as icon, so I assume using the calendar icon shouldn’t be a problem?

Thanks Andrew, but that’s the logo. I mean an icon from the icon set of WordPress. Like the ‘comments’ balloon or the ‘home’ icon of the dashboard.

I tested it some more.

When I deactivated a SEO plugin navigating became fast again and the load only raises with around 0.50 points.

Maybe I did a misconfiguration somewhere.

Strange thing: on https://tools.pingdom.com the load speed is 1.89s which is actually very good.

So it seems that some webhosting providers use the CNAME record of www also for the non-www URL. And other providers don’t, so you have to make this CNAME record manually. Am I right?

Strange thing is, I also have another client with external domain site.externaldomain.com which is CNAME’d to https://www.ourdomainwithwordpressmultisite.com. They also CNAME’d https://www.site.externaldomain.com to that URL. But for that client I only made one domain mapping: site.externaldomain.com and both work, www and non-www!

externaldomain.com is not in CNAME, so why is it still pointing to our domain https://www.ourdomainwithwordpressmultisite.com?

And because it seems that it is pointing, could we also delete the mapping of externaldomain.com? What would happen then?

That nameserver stuff shouldn’t be a problem. We also have clients with own providers.

Is your plugin configured well? Have you set correct IP address?

We use WordPress MU Domain Mapping and that works great. We only set our server IP and checked point 2 and 3 in settings.
