i’m still struggling with this. have also increased the timeout in fcgid.conf but still have no access to wp-admin

i’m getting this error too after upgrading to 4.1. renaming, or deleting, .htaccess makes no difference.
the site is still up but anything under /wp-admin/ produces the 500 internal server error.

that version doesn’t work for me either.
my sitemap.xml is in a custom location and there’s no way to change the path.

thanks for that. afraid the editor within wordpress wouldn’t do it though.
had to manually edit
/wp-content/plugins/google-language-translator/css/style.css
to remove
background-image:url(/modules/mod_gtranslate/tmpl/lang/16.png);
then purged all my cdn caches and the 404’s gone. cheers for your quick response.

and the referrer is
https://cdn.mydomain.fu/wp-content/plugins/google-language-translator/css/style.css?ver=3.6.1

can’t create a category when writing a post. i type the new name in the box but when i hit ‘add new category’ nothing happens.
if i try to do it through wp-admin it doesn’t work either. i type the new category, the slug and description but clicking the button has no effect.

i’m afraid that i tried for another couple of days (getting nowhere) and then deleted the plugin. sorry i can’t be of any help.

i, too, have this issue. running on a VPS with parrallels plesk panel. the domain actually has a proper ssl certificate (signed by alpha ssl) but there’s one that parallels have signed for the raw IP.
my error is as follows
Your website needs to be publicly accessible to use Jetpack: site_inaccessible
and then
Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site [IXR -32300: transport error: http_request_failed SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate]

doesn’t sound like you’re sharing a domain…are you sharing a server?
why not setup a multisite install? this will keep all changes separate.

this is bothering me too…have tried various tweaks to revert back to the original format…no luck as of yet. might delete the theme and start from scratch.
may actually revert back to the free version…

i’ve got ‘Bleeding edge nightlies’ selected (as i had before i upgraded the plugin to version 0.90) but it still states ‘Your current WordPress Beta Tester plugin configuration will downgrade your install to a previous version – Please reconfigure it.’ on the upgrade screen.
not going to touch it as 3.0-beta1 seems stable and i don’t want to downgrade.
any advice. should i downgrade and then upgrade?
