thank you for your response! actually i’m not sure i am happy with my font choices and would very much like the ability to select fonts in the editor. as it is, i only see the two default choices in the editor. and yes i would like to front end and the backend to be consistent.

Sorry, I don’t think I posed that question properly. I’d like to increase the number of Recent Posts listed in the sidebar of the homepage. I have set the number to 21 in the Settings>Reading>Syndication feed shows the most recent but the sidebar on my homepage only shows a list of the 5 most recent posts.

the floating icons won’t work for my purposes.
the widget shows up on the homepage and the post page but not the category page.
where would i put the shortcode so the icons show up after each post on all pages?

Thank you for your reply. I just realized that the share buttons only show up on the individual post pages, not on the home page or the category page. Is it possible for them to show up on the posts on all pages?
