In reply to: [WordPress Persistent Login] session still remain activeHi @gidantrip,
When I test logging out using the default Logout button in the admin bar, I can see that my session is removed and I can login with a new device.
Are you using a plugin or specific code to log your users out?
hi @joneiseman, thank you for letting me know about this. I will look into the issue.
The change you mention was put in place to allow compatibility with Yoast SEO and Wordfence, the previous hook was causing a 500 internal server error for some users. I will look into a solution that avoids both the error and the warning.
if you’re seeing the warning on your live public facing website, I would advise turning off PHP warnings and notices as they can be useful to attackers, as well as frustrating for users.

In reply to: [WordPress Persistent Login] Alignment with WordPress Maximum Active LoginsHi there,
You will need to check the Limit Active Logins checkbox in order to enable this feature. Without the checkbox enabled, active logins won’t be working.

In reply to: [WordPress Persistent Login] PremiumHi @bernardberry646 ,
There is a link inside the WP Admin menu of the free version which lets you upgrade to premium, should you want to.
You can also visit https://persistentlogin.com to read about premium and upgrade.
i do take your point though, I will add a lin k to the plugin description.

In reply to: [WordPress Persistent Login] Conflict with WordfenceHi @webfantastic,
Thank you for your feedback, and apologies for the issue.
I have released a beta version of the plugin which aims to resolve the conflict with Wordfence, and also Yoast SEO. If you’re able to test the latest version (2.0.12) and provide feedback on whether this resolves your issue, that would be appreciated.
Here is a link to the latest blog post which explains how to beta test the latest version: https://persistentlogin.com/persistent-login-2-0-12-beta-release/

In reply to: [WordPress Persistent Login] Not working when using mobile devicesHi there,
Apologies you’re having issues with the plugin on mobile. I think these two issues are unrelated.
@sankana – your issue is most likely that the social login plugin you use doesn’t hook into standard WP login processes, so the persistent login doesn’t trigger. I would need to research to see if this plugin can be supported or not. As you say, Persistent login works if you use your username/password.
@intheraw – can you confirm what types of device you’re seeing this behaviour on? And is it all users, some users, or just yourself?

In reply to: [WordPress Persistent Login] conflict with Yoast 19.2Hi there,
Can I ask if you’ve tried the suggestion above your post, to reduce the speed of the user count?
I am struggling with this issue as I’m not able to replicate the problem on any server and the change causing the issue was created by Yoast rather than Persistent Login.
If people can try my above suggestion and let me know how they get on, there might be something I can do to help the issue, but the problem will still be present in Yoast SEO.
Thanks,

In reply to: [WordPress Persistent Login] conflict with Yoast 19.2Hi all,
Is anyone able to test applying the steps outlined in this guide on the persistent login website? It will reduce the speed of the user count, in turn reducing the amount of memory used: https://persistentlogin.com/how-to-change-the-speed-of-the-user-count/
