If you could edit your wp-config.php file to turn WP_DEBUG on, that would be the first step. Then we can see if you’re getting any errors in your news page, and we can try to resolve them from there.

I’ve not used yolink-search before, but that search bar isn’t there by default. My best guess is that it is put there by yolink, and their plugin is what’s not working properly.

Try deactivating yolink-search and see if the search icon disappears. If it does, get in touch with yolink for support if you still want to be able to use it!

Hi firman888. My first step would be to try deactivating all of my existing plugins, and see if that helps any. If not, it’s possible that it could be an issue with your host. Are you hosting locally with MAMP, or do you have any strange setup that could cause an issue like this?

WordPress asks for emails so that it can do things like forgotten passwords, and notifications, so it’s worth factoring into your management system plans.

WordPress won’t actually check that the email addresses that you provide it are real, though, so you can go ahead and just make up fake ones. You could use a system like [email protected].

Hey John – thanks for that. My feeling is that you’ve got a plugin that has created these settings, and is updating them occasionally. The author / IP is just whoever is using your site at the time.

Could you list your plugins here, and we’ll try to figure out which one it could be?

If it’s the same authors each time, you could consider including them in your Exclude rules.
