Uploading a folder (and its subfolder) is not as easy as uploading one or many files.
You can upload many files in one shot, but not a folder.
To upload a folder, I suggest you to zip it, then drag’drop it in Finder, then extract the zip file, that works fine.
About deletion, I have noticed there is a problem sometimes to delete files, be sure I’ll correct that quickly.
Sorry for these, I spent all my time on the pro version (the only way to make a bit money, work is not free you know that), that free version is only supposed to introduce the pro version, that’s why it may not be perfect. Is looks like 15€ (price of pro version) is too expensive for most of people; however 15€ is the price of 30mn no more of works for an IT developper, but can only a man develop that plugin or same functionnalities in 30mn ? That is the question..;)
Anyway keep an eye on updates, I’ll correct deltetion problem.

Well I don’t want to let any flagrant bug, so I have just installed a fresh version of last WordPress, I did not configure anything except installing the plugin.
And I can promise everything is clean, no white space anywhere, the display is exactly as the screeshot in plugin description. I’ve tried some drag’drop, deleted files, everything’s work.
So I cannot explain your problem, I’m sorry.

Check your installation and your CSS, the problem is in your own installation. The screenshots are real, that plugin works great on any fresh WP install and with well developed themes.
Now about saying ‘weak variant of Filezilla’, that comment means nothing. Filezilla is only a 14 years old FTP client, while FTP is a network file transfer protocol, that ‘common’ programmers use as a file manager. NO ! Filezilla is not a file manager, but that plugin is ! And that plugin is not able to act as Filezilla, it does not handle any network protocol, it cannot connect to a FTP server, it just manages file on your web site. But it can upload files with drag and drop for sure like Filezilla can upload files. However Filezilla needs TCP ports 20 and 21 to be opened by all intermediate firewalls, and many providers don’t agree to let them opened, but that plugin needs nothing, it will work anywhere !
So please don’t make any quick comparison between that plugin and Filezilla that could make interested admins disappointed, sure they both can upload files on your site, or rename/delete them, but comparison stops there.

This plugin has been developped and tested with a fresh wordpress install and with many theme, like the popular Enfold. The screenshots are not faked, but real after just installing the plugin.
If you have any ‘blank’ display problem or anything that would differ from the screenshots, the problem is only because something in your own installation cause the trouble. 99% of problems are due to specific CSS.
Try with a basic install of WordPress (or change to basic theme) and you’ll see it works perfectly, more than 300 installs in 2 weeks shows that plugin works. Yes, that plugin is really fresh.
Too bad that happy users don’t write 5 stars feedback, because your 1 star brings a bad opinion for that working product, I use it on all my WP sites to maintain everything without a problem.

About 2 windows, definitely not, this tool completely replaces a FTP client for site management but is first designed for end users, so the interface is really inspired by the most common interfaces, Explorer for windows users and Finder for mac users. Both these kinds of users will be quickly familiar with that tool, that’s the most important since our aim for sure is to have thousands of customers for our pro version which goal is to offer files users spaces to manage files online as Onedrive, Dropbox or so – sold 15€ at https://cysteme.fr/cysteme_finder20 – ??

For the file permissions, here again that product is not designed to manage Linux files as a root user ;). Exactly as a httpd server, the files owner is always the same, and rights have to be managed by software. In our case, WordPress has its own users base management, our plugin work with these ones. We have the same product – check https://cysteme.fr/finder, demo at finder.netoffice.fr – to manage any Linux files (so no link at all with WordPress), that one too depends on custom software management ..

Yes, very few strings, maybe 2 or 3, are as far as now hard encoded. We are currently focused on pro version but we’ll take care of that in a future release.

The reason we did not do it at first is it’s really easy to manually change that string in cysteme_finder.php, and that string is only used by admin user, and an admin user never change its language, no need dynamic multi-language as this point.
