Put the .htaccess file in the root of your wordpress directory.

Is your host control panel cpanel 11?
put this in your .htaccess file:

u should put the display:none; in your h1 class in style.css
file not in the header!

what jeremy says should work efficiently but if it doesn’t work, use it on the last word of your post.

I think the problem is from ur single.php!
check it again.

Thanx, I did it and the mod_rewrite did not show up!
So it seems I’m finished with pretty permalinks ??

I think u can fix the problem by putting “the_permalink()”
code in your index.php when u want to refer to a single page.

just to let u know u should separate the tags with commas not spaces ??

I checked ur website but I didn’t find any widgets in it!
By the way are u using any plugins to cache wordpress?
If so the changes u make into your website takes sometime to show up.

I have already read the Permalinks page,
As it takes a long time for me to find out whether my host supports mod_rewrite I did the what u said in part B,but to my surprise wp did not show any errors while updating permalinks neither did it show me proper codes to be put in .htaccess and successfully updated, but the problem still exists.

By the way is there any chance I would find whether my host supports mod_rewrite by myself without contacting my host support?
