Hello – I have PHP 8.1 and this message still appears on all sites with 8.1.

Cameron, Thanks for the heads up that it does not work on PHP 8. That is a huge help to know in advance! I would love to know what replacements you like the best especially when it comes to importing the documents with the same file structure. And then I am going to have to replace a bunch of shortcodes.

Thank you! That fixed the sitemap problem and the thumbnail sharing still works.

I have been looking at WP Document Revisions. Not sure if this is going to work – I use mine for a document library and it’s important that the dates etc. are still the same as they are now. I would much rather keep this one if someone is going to take it over. I would be happy to help.

Hello-

I just checked again on trying to replace an old version by uploading a new version and then deleting the old one (using PDFs). Using the mDocs admin screen,
Manage File > File uploader
then
Manage Versions > Delete

After deleting the old PDF file, it’s still on the server (via FTP) but the PDF extension is stripped off. However, when you look at the file in Acrobat, the file is complete and readable.

It also has the thumbnails if the thumbnails have been generated (I believe this happens only when the file is previewed).

So, we need a way to truly delete old versions, because we don’t want them coming up.

I am about to change to PHP 7.2 and have the same question.

I have the same question. Is it possible to copy someone else on the recipient e-mail? Right now they get only the paypal email, which does not include the ticket number or security code. Thanks.

It happens in Twentyseventeen theme also.

If I cut and paste the shortcode into a post and save the post, as in
[mdocs single-file=”873″ ]

It works normally.

If I use the shortcode button in the editor, it doesn’t work. It tries to download the file to my PC and hangs.

Notice there is an extra space after the “. I don’t know if that is intentional? The older posts I created with the shortcode button that worked also have that extra space though.

Yes, inserting a folder shortcode works. The problem is that it’s trying to open or save the file itself.
