In reply to: [WP Social Post And Widget] Error message “Caption too long”Maybe this could be out topic, but as I found a bit boring to read my post in the Instagram context, I looked for some point of view about the length of a post, I think this article could be useful:

Here the test (in total, 208 words – 1366 characters):BPA FREE
#BisfenoloA?#BPAFREE?#giocattoli#plastica?#scientifico
Link: https://www.lucianogianazza.it/bpa-freeI agree. I have same problem with any very short caption. It should not be marked as “solved”. Solved what?
Happy for you that you resolved.
It should be good to post HOW so that can be useful for other users.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Smooth Scroll Up] How do I get the graphic shown above?Never happy eh? ??
The plugin works perfectly, The header image gives the idea of what the plugin does.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Facebook Page Publish] February 2013 Breaking ChangesCould you show to me your page? I think that you did something else than simply delete the application. I have deleted and redo six application and my pages are all there, safe and happy! ??
Ask to facebook developers: Removal of an application doesn’t affect the posts, images, states, etc. published on a page.

In reply to: [Facebook Page Publish] February 2013 Breaking ChangesHow to create a FB application to publish your WP posts and pages on FB. (For other purposes, different than mere publishing, I don’t know)
Go to:
https://developers.facebook.com/apps
Click on “create a new application” (I don’t now exact words in English as I have the page in Italian)A little form will appear where to put a Name for application and mamespace. Advices will appear in real time if you are doing thing wrong, so correct any error as needed:
* Display name
* Namespace
When done save.
In the next step insert your email address:
* Email address
* and in “Website with Facebook Login” add the Url of your site.
Don’t do anything else and save. That’s it. Now you have a new application.If you use the application for a publishing plugin, go back to the plugin and insert App ID, App Secret and your fanpage ID then do all the setting you want or needed following the instruction of your plugin.
At this moment I’m using succesfully Simple Facebook Connect.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Facebook Page Publish] February 2013 Breaking ChangesYes, it’s true, you can leave there the old applications. I delete them just non to have junk around.
Anyway I use my applications to publish WP post and pages. So, the application is a tool, when published on your FB pages the posts still remain published even if you remove the tool, whatever it could be, application, email or everything else.
Different claims are illogical.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Facebook Page Publish] February 2013 Breaking ChangesNot true. Everything is in its place on the page. You can verify yourself.
Anyway It’s everyone responsibility to do or not the handling I suggest. It works wonderful for me and others.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Facebook Page Publish] February 2013 Breaking ChangesI have solved the problem, but not with the Facebook Page Publish plugin. I think that the problem is generated from the plugin itself that needs to be fix. I tried everything with it and with facebook Page Publish 2 too without results. Those plugins may work depending from the theme that you are using.
I have solved with Simple Facebook Connect.These are my steps done:
1. Delete FPP plugin and install Simple Facebook Connect and activate it.
2 click the link to go to settings.
Click the link to go to the FB apps.
3 Delete your application. I did because I had red tagged advices February 2013 Breaking Changes to fix etc. and I have messed up everything trying to fix it.
Create a new fresh application with the same name o even better name. Just insert four things:
* Display name
* Namespace
* Email address
* and in “Website with Facebook Login” add the Url of your site.
Don’t do anything else and save. That’s it. Now you have a new, brand new, fresh application w/o warning, red tags or advices of any kind!Go back to the plugin insert App ID, App Secret and your fanpage ID then do all the setting you want. You can autopublish either on your profile page and on one other page of yours, if you like. And when you edit a page or post you have 2 buttons to publish on your page or profile even if the post has been already published.
You can see one of my site and from the FB window with friend face on the right column you can go to the dedicated fb page with an article republished properly.
Be sure to set the image issues to get the post published with images.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [Facebook Page Publish] February 2013 Breaking ChangesHi zu1u, so it should be working. If the article is new the checkbox should be checked by default, if you are updating an article it should be empty and you can check it if you want to republish. So I don’t know why the plugin is not publishing.
