after changing all permissions of all nextgen gallery folders now it works. i just reloaded the backend and the button is now showing up.

alex was right. i forgot the permissions of the folders in the nextgen-gallery folder. ??

like you said in an other thread alex. the problem is sometimes sitting in front if the pc ??

okay, now it works.

/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery needs 755 …

is there an description what the right permissions are?

my current seetings of the plugin folder:
/plugins 705
/nextgen-gallery 744
all files in folder nextgen-gallery: 644

are these permission right?

but which permissions? of the nggshow.php? i set the permissions to 777 without any effect.

can you please explain, what exactly you mean with permission? what permissions should the nggshow.php have? where can i set the permission if its not the fila attributes permission…

some more information:

changing the theme to default -> same problem. instead of showing singlepic i just see the alternative text or image name.

what else could cause this problem?
