I checked the “Force 404 error after loading page” and “Disable URL autocorrection guessing”. I get my “page not found page” and a usable log entry.

I know this. How long is the official timeout and how can I change it globally?My feeds are time dependent, the delay should not be longer than 1..2 hours.

I think that I know a little bit more: Seems that the background upgrade and installation (=install from plugin page) lead to a Server error 500:
Installation fehlgeschlagen: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN"> 500 Internal Server Error Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator at root@localhost to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log.I deleted the whole Backwpup directory and installed by ftp from a actual download and then it worked.
I can send you the error log separately, may be that my (shared hosting) server is not always that stable…Forum: Plugins
