Does anyone else have this issue? I’m on a Mac and I don’t have this option about importing external data. If an existing spreadsheet is open I can then import external data, and I have tried all of the UTF8 options and nothing works. Still badly formed characters.
If I open in Mac’s version of Excel (Numbers) it works perfectly, but would like to resolve this. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Danny thank you so much! For some reason I had something else as the user ID. You have made my day! One quick question…I’m noticing the content is right against the left side of the box (in other words no padding)…to tweak things like the padding etc…I guess this has to be done in the template settings?

Hi I’m having trouble connecting to FB. Not sure what’s wrong.
I entered the app ID and secret given to me by FB after registering the app for my client’s website.The FB user ID has been entered. The API status says connected but when I preview the site I get ‘no recent Facebook status to show’ and ‘did you configure the app properly.’
What am I doing wrong?

Email: my email address
App domains: domain of where my clients’ website is
Hosting URL:none
Sandbox: Disabled
Website with FB login (checked)

I have resolved this by abandoning this template…too bad it was a nice one.

Thanks a million for the tip….I just changed that line to ‘require(‘wp-blog-header.php’);’ since my files were in the root directory and it seems to work (at least the home page). I’ll see if any other pages are affected….finally I can start blogging! Thanks ‘henkholland’. Have a great day. ??

If this is not the solution is there anything else I can try? Not getting a response yet from my host and I have no idea of how to do this…
