I see now. I don’t use posts, I create articles directly on pages. I was hoping I could manually enter the icons with short code at the beginning of an article on a page.

Is it possible to use the plugin to apply only social media share icons?

Okay, must’ve been confusion on my own part. I was hoping to use the buttons only for sharing on social media, not for going to my social media pages.

The icons were already set, under language and button text, for “visit us”. Am I understanding correctly that this is what you’re referencing?

See herefor an example of the issue I’m having. Ignore the box that shows a view of the twitter logo, that’s one of my extensions.

So when hovering over one of the social icons, the visit us option appears above it. However if I click the social icon itself, and not the “visit us” box…I get the issues I explained.

Look in the status bar on the bottom left of the browser and you can see the javascript error.

For the pinterest button, instead of the javascript error, it links back to the page it’s on. See here and look at the bottom left status bar.

I believe I already have the icons set up that way. See here. Still, from desktop I get the same errors.

Cleared cache and same issue on both chrome and firefox.

Here’s what’s happening:

When I click the icon itself on desktop, I receive the issues I explained above.

If I hover over the icons on desktop, a box opens above them allowing me to share the page successfully.

My concern is for users who click those icons instead of merely hovering.
