In reply to: NextGEN Gallery 1.3.3 Breaks RSS in WP 2.8Well, I’m very sorry to have wasted your time…I went to the one post that I hid temporarily and, like I said, the feed (on the W3C validator) was showing an extra question mark.
I edited the post in HTML mode, and although I couldn’t see the question mark, I just deleted everything after the NGG code until my text started.
After re-saving the post, the feed now works.
Again, sorry about that.

In reply to: NextGEN Gallery 1.3.3 Breaks RSS in WP 2.8Ok, removed it from the first post, went to that post in IE8, still fails when clicking the RSS button.
W3C validator fails as well.
Then, I saw that the error the validator was throwing was for a specific post (there was a random, extra question mark someplace), so I changed the status of that post to Draft.
Now the W3C validator shows that it’s valid, but IE8 still gives an error rather than showing the feed.
IE8 does work ok if you go into a particular post and select the RSS for the post’s comments, but the general RSS for the site doesn’t work until I turn off NGG.

P.S. NGG is currently activated, so you should see that the site’s main RSS is broken

In reply to: WP 2.8 – Screen options broken & menu drop downs broken?Just found something else.
If I go into Comments and click on Reply under any given comment, the only thing that happens is the page scrolls down…there’s no way to actually reply.
If I do this from the Recent Comments box in the Dashboard, however, it works as expected.

In reply to: WP 2.8 – Screen options broken & menu drop downs broken? It’s really bad. Like, the worst since I’ve started using WP.
My machine is Win Server 2003, with SP2
IIS 6
PHP v 5.2.6
MySQL v 5.0.51aHere’s what I’ve noticed is broken so far in WP 2.8:
General:
– RSS seems to be broken. I check my RSS feed all the time (for obvious reasons) and it’s simply not working since the 2.8 update. I’m referring to my site’s normal posts RSS…the feed for our podcast still seems to be ok.Dashboard:
– Incoming Links never loads
– Plugins never loads
– Stats never loads
– WordPress Development Blog never loads
– Other WordPress News never loads
– Screen Options drop-down doesn’t work (it’s broken on every page)Posts:
– In the Edit Posts list, the Quick Edit link doesn’t work
– None of the links under Publish, Post Tags or Categories work when I go to Edit a post. They pretty much just do nothing.NOTE: I disabled the following plugins and now the stuff in the above two groups all works (well, mostly):
WP Grins
Category Icons
Configurable Tag Cloud
Flash Tag Cloud
Most Commented
WP-Polls
WP-PostratingsI say mostly because in the Posts > Edit list, if you use Quick Edit, then change from Published to Draft, the post disappears from the list. Clicking on Edit again brings it back.
Also, RSS is still broken. The errors that Feed Validator are throwing are invalid characters in the middle of a post…like the letter ‘c’ in a random word. It seems that maybe a tag isn’t getting closed here or there and is throwing off the feed (just guessing).

In reply to: Comments broken?Ok…it gets even weirder.
It’s not IE8…it’s just THIS machine.
I tried logging out to see if then I could post…but I can’t log out. Seriously. I click the Logout > link and it says:
You are attempting to log out of The pause.com Entertainment Podcast
Please try again. But when I click that link (Please try again) it just takes me back to the previous screen where I’m still logged in.
So I can’t post comments and I can’t log out.
Lovely.

In reply to: Comments broken?Hmm, just tried it in Firefox and it worked fine. IE8 doesn’t work, either in normal or Compatibility Mode.
Perplexed…

In reply to: Comments broken?Ok, this is crazy. Thank you for doing that, but I still can’t get it to work. Can I ask what browser you’re using?

In reply to: [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Image Problem & Sorting ProblemsAnybody?
Also, I figuered out that NGG does NOT have the problem with re-processing PNG files uploaded at the size they’re displayed…it’s only an issue with JPG files.

Anybody else seeing this issue, especially with the unnecessarily re-processed images?

In reply to: [Plugin: Featurific For WordPress] Play nice with NextGen Gallery?Hey, thanks a bunch!
I uploaded it, deactivated / reactivated it but it still seems to be doing the same thing.
I really appreciate you looking into this and providing that link!
P.S. WP does show the version as 1.4.0, just FYI

In reply to: [Plugin: Featurific For WordPress] Play nice with NextGen Gallery? Thanks! We’re going to be interviewing her soon ??

P.S. You probably know this, but just in case, I’m not using simplepic directly, but NextGen Gallery…the shortcode is for their ‘singlepic’ (as opposed to simplepic)

In reply to: [Plugin: Featurific For WordPress] Play nice with NextGen Gallery?Yes, you can see at https://www.pause.com/
You’ll see on the first one (currently) there’s no shortcode, but on the next ones you see it.
Thanks!
