Lotte V

I am marking this thread as resolved. Not because the problem is solved (it only half-is) but because I think this is a bug with Pleroma and not the plugin. I have tested it on Mastodon with a burner account and it works fine, same with Misskey as I’ve said before.

Update #2: More progress, but still a bit of a downer. The good news is that my posts seem to federate, but the bad news is that I still can’t follow the blog actor on Pleroma (again, tested on multiple instances). Instead, it keeps stuck on “Request sent”, sometimes being able to cancel but other times not.

Hello, it’s me again. There’s some minor progress in that my blog federates with Misskey again. Still no dice on Pleroma instances sadly, and I’ve tested several instances.

My WordPress site is hosted on DigitalOcean. I could check to see if there’s a caching plugin causing the problem.

EDIT: I have disabled all my plugins except for ActivityPub, NodeInfo and Webfinger, but the problems seem to persist. I really have no idea what causes this, it worked fine before…

For what it’s worth, it seems to work now (as explained in my edit). Thank you for your help regardless!

Oh huh, that’s interesting. My own instance uses Pleroma, maybe it’s related to that?

For what it’s worth, I did see some (but not all) of the newer posts on my Misskey alt. So maybe it is related to the software I use… Interesting if true.

EDIT: Never mind, it seems to work now. Thank you for your help regardless! Perhaps refreshing the permalinks did fix it after all.

Yeah I only deactivated Pterotype earlier today, it probably overwrote the settings for the ActivityPub plugin (which, for the record, was still active all this time). The Webfinger lookup gives different results now after regenerating the permalinks; however, my posts sadly still don’t seem to federate.

@pfefferle, I only installed Pterotype after the fact just to test it out. It’s not working out either (I know it’s very out of date, but I was curious to see if it worked regardless) but it wasn’t installed yet at the time of making this thread. The issues I described in the first post all pertain to the ActivityPub plugin.

I’d also like to clarify that the posts do show up on my blog, the new ones just don’t federate. (Apologies for the double-post, I could no longer edit my comment.)

@didierjm, I haven’t gotten any errors on the Site Health tab so I don’t think it’s related to that. I’m going to try your other suggestion when I have time though. Thanks in advance.
