    Thank you Jos, that worked! I’m not sure why it doesn’t generate the code properly when I use the link tabs to insert a link, even here on this forum it doesn’t seem to generate it right, and on another site I have. very strange.

    But your fix has worked, and I will just have to manually put in the title as you showed.

    Thank you ??

    Always someone who will jump in with a snarky higher than thou answer.

    Maybe I should try to re-phrase the question, as I probably didn’t explain myself very well…..

    When I compose a new post and want to insert a link I do the following:

    I click on the insert “link” tab, put in the correct address, give it a name and then click “add link”. The code and address go into the post perfectly in the edit window. I click “update”, view post, but the link is not showing at all.

    I just recently updated to the latest wordpress version and brought all my plugins and theme up to date as well. Maybe a bad plugin or theme? I’ve tried disabling all the plugins one by one, but still no links showing in post. (only have 4 plugins btw)

    I don’t know how I could give any more information than that, unless you want to know what plugins and theme I use….

    Update, it would apear that disabling the plugin “after the deadline” fixed my problem. (I do think there was an update to that yesterday, that must have been the culprit).

    Just ran into this while looking for answers to my problem, it was in teh FAQ under design % layout.

    How do I get rid of the “No Comments” message displayed with every post?

    If you do not allow comments on your site you may want to get rid of the “No Comments” (or Comments are off) message displayed with each post.

    If you are using the WordPress Default theme you would delete the following code from wp-content/themes/default/index.php

    <?php comments_popup_link(‘No Comments ?’, ‘1 Comment ?’, ‘% Comments ?’); ?>

    Note that if you use a different theme the information to delete may be slightly different.

    hope that’s helpful

    I tried the CTRL/F% method of refreshing, and still shows an unchanged page, I also tried viewing in IE (I use firefox normally) and still the page is unchanged.

    Don;t think I have any caching plugins..
