I’m a novice at database stuff but in looking around I see that there were changes made to wp_options, in various places.

What did I have set wrong that allowed them to get in and how can I change it to prevent it again?

I got my blog running again…is there anywhere else I should be looking for changes they may have made?

I’m reuploading wp-admin and wp-includes to make sure everthing else is there.

I have this same problem. I’ve reuploaded compat.php and wp-settings.php (more than once). They show that they’re there.

Yes. 2.3.3. I re-uploaded my files from before the hack and the ugly front page of the hacker is gone but it still redirects to their domain.

I removed their log-in information and replaced it with my own and my url but it still redirects to their site.

I’m not sure how that pertains. I’m talking about a link to the image uploader. So I don’t have to go into a write page in order to upload a photo that will be used in m blogroll/links. The images can still be stored in the same place. The access from www.remarpro.com is just in multiple places.

I am getting the same error as above:

Never mind.

I see that that ‘bar’ across the top is part of the header graphic and I need to figure out how to resolve it that way.

I managed to find where to comment out the searchform information in my stylesheet. But I still need to know how to get rid of the tab at the top.

I’m off to look in my header…if anyone can help me sooner, I’d really appreciate it!

Ok. I reinstalled wordpress at my https://beadnerd.com site and it didn’t change a thing. Still the same problem.

Anyone know what’s going on here?

I thought I figured it out. Somehow I fixed on the https://gal-lori.com blog but it’s still the same deal with the https://beadnerd.com blog.

I did a new install for gal-lori site and don’t want to do that again for beadnerd if I don’t have to.

I figured it out.

I’m having this problem too. I recently upgraded to Leopard AND the Firefox update.

My sites are fine, it’s the dashboard that is hacked. I talked to my host and it’s on their end. So this one isn’t something wordpress support can help with.

I don’t know how that happened, but it did fix itself. Very strange. Now another commenting problem with the Subscribe to Comment plugin not showing up but I put that in a different thread.

My code was ‘moderated’ and directed to pastebin. Is that sufficient to get the help I need? Do I need to do something else there?
