In reply to: [Lazy Sunday] Trouble switching from static home pageThank you for clarifying the addition of the image to the header. I’m waiting to backup my site before I delete the home page that stuck around once I changed my blog framework. May I ask one more question? How do I disable comments on individual pages? I tried the screen options but it wasn’t checked there. Thank you for your continued patience!

In reply to: [Lazy Sunday] Trouble switching from static home pagePer adding an image, will this keep the original header and simply add the image below it?

In reply to: [Lazy Sunday] Trouble switching from static home pageYes, I deleted the static home page successfully. But when configuring the site through the Headway network, I had changed the name of the blog index – originally called Home – to simply blog. When I changed themes, I had two “homes” so deleted the static home with no issue. But now I have the home – as per my blog index via the old framework – and this is the one still showing in the navbar. If I delete this second home page, will the blog posts remain intact? And is it okay to delete this off the menu too? Thank you for helping me to quench my fears ??

In reply to: [Lazy Sunday] Trouble switching from static home pageI’d also like to know how to add an image below the header as shown in the demo version of Lazy Sunday. I didn’t see anything in the customize php for that image inclusion. Thanks!

In reply to: [Scrappy] Tabber Widget not working in ScrappyI don’t recommend this plug-in at all! I tried to make changes and those aren’t displaying on the site. I’m deactivating!

In reply to: [Scrappy] Tabber Widget not working in ScrappyWell, the widget now shows up, but to my disappointment it looks awful! Nothing like what I was expecting….and I’ve got no clue how to adjust the look. Suggestions? Thanks.
Not sure what I did but I think I applied what I needed to in the WP admin. I ran a test post and the category was there. Please close, thank you!
I fixed my comment field for individual posts. But I’m still stuck on what to do to enable the category and tags to show on the posts as well. Author not important at this point. Thanks.
Oh, and of course I want the comments showing for readers too ??
I can live without the author name because it’s only me. But I really want the category and tag listed for each post. Thanks, here’s the site: https://carriesheart.com/
I opened the style.css in the parent theme and haven’t located that “.media-posted-on” yet. I’m assuming that I make the changes you recommend in the child theme style.css? I fear by activating the child theme, I also lost the category name for my individual posts as well. I assumed all the parent attributes would continue even when activating a child theme? Thank you for the help.
Forum: Networking WordPress
In reply to: Installing WP on add-on domain and adding to networkPlease forgive my ignorance and not understanding these instructions. I need more simpleton terms ?? Like F XR, I currently have a www.remarpro.com account and want to create a completely separate domain and site to be accessed through my primary WP account. I’m using the same hosting company for both domains. What are the steps to enable the network on the primary WP install? And once the network is ready, where do I find the subdomain folder to ‘add site’? Lastly, what exactly is mapping the domain? I opened the link provided and only became more confused by the plug-in instructions, especially once it discussed CNAME records. Thank you for any help that you can provide!
