So, how do you make the file writeable through the cpanel. Because I”m in the cpanel right now, and I’ve no clue as to where to look. You know, I really get the feeling that you have to be very techno. literate to get this stuff. I like to think I’m techno. savvy but I feel like this is so overwhelming at times.

I think I figured out how to widen the CSS but I don’t see a “save” button that will allow me to save the new revisions. Am I missing something?

Do I need to create a separate folder for images or should I just upload all of it into the same “public html” folder. Because that I uploaded all of it into the public html folder. And kindly point me to a url that will show me what I need to do next after FTPing these files.thanks.

Well, I saw the publi html folder and clicked on it. And then clicked on the black arrow that’s pointing upward and it brought me to a place where I can upload the files that I downloaded and unzipped from the theme. My question is, do I upload every file that I downloaded, which inlcudes the image folder as well?

I feel dumb. Apparently, i typed the url the wrong way. Hence, my not seeing the entire directory. Apologies.

Am I supposed the create the same exact subdirectory as have been mentioned in previous posts for my FTP?(ie; mydomain.com/wp-admin/wp-content/theme) ?

Well then, my next question is does WP allow for multiple blogs so that I can have multiple authors? Thanks.

Actually, I’m feeling the same way as quizzigal is feeling. This is way to complicated. I tried using powweb as my host, but they’re useless too. The real problem to all of this is that you need a good understanding of datebase programming language like php and sql and most of us don’t.

Apologies for being blunt about this but if you get the same question over and over again within a 24 hour time span, then that tells you how unfriendly the WP installation process is. I mean, I could understand if people were having a problem with WP, after the installation process, but this is ridiculous and of course, frustrating.

I would hardly call this the “Famous 5 minute install.”

Sorry, I’m venting too. I’ve been at this for the past 24 hours, and no luck on my part either. I’ll probably just stick to Squarespace or Blogharbor.
