In reply to: Rich HTML EditorI like the new rich editor, and haven’t had any problems. But ditto on keeping the raw text editor. Sometimes it’s useful when you need to do something special.

In reply to: Overcoming Referer Problems With Domain ForwardingWow, that’s a good idea. Have you gotten around to implementing it yet? I just put a blog up for my little sister, hosting it on my webspace, but I wanted to get her her own domain. I did so, forwarded it, and got the same result (godaddy.com does forwards the same way – opening everything in a 100% frame). Let me know if you got it working…

In reply to: rich text editorWell, I can’t find what I’m looking for, so I might as well post a thread anyways. I remember seeing a week or so ago a thread discussing improving the new WYSIWYG editor in WP 2.0. I remember browsing through it, and I planned to read it more thoroughly later (and possible implementing it), but after searching I cannot seem to find it. Anyone able to point me to it? P.S. I remember that the thread itself didn’t start as a discussion about this, but turned towards it later. Might explain why my searching couldn’t find it. Thanks!!

In reply to: rich text editorSorry, wasn’t looking and thought I was typing in the “search box” – hit enter and PRESTO! A useless post! Sorry. Can I delete this?

In reply to: Can I add a “new post” link on public site when logged in?Oops, I found an easy fix: Use a relative link:
<?php if (isset($user_level)) {?>
<li><a href="#">Howdy <?php echo $user_identity; ?>!</a></li>
<li><a href=/wp-admin/post.php'>New Post</a></li>
<?php } ?>Duh…

<li><a href='https://timskoch.com/wp-admin/post.php'>New Post</a></li>
<?php } ?>I just implemented the above code in my site, and it works fine. But I have one problem: If I click the “New post” link, I’m asked to re-enter my login. Any ideas how to fix that?

In reply to: Login problem on IEOh, and I’ve tried disabling my firewall and accepting all cookies. No joy…

In reply to: Login problem on IEHey, I’m having this exact same problem. IE doesn’t work correctly, but FireFox does. I’ve tried clearing my cookies, etc. I’ve checked my databse “siteurl” and “home” values, and they are fine. I’ve been looking all over, and I’ve found plenty of threads about this, but few solutions.
I’m using WP 1.5.1.3

In reply to: Archives by YEAR (this is different!)“How can I get them to each be on their own line?”
Instead of using:
<ul>
<li>Archives</li>
<li><ul>
<?php
$years = $wpdb->get_col("SELECT DISTINCT YEAR(post_date) FROM $wpdb->posts ORDER BY post_date");
foreach($years as $year) : ?>
<li><a href="<?php echo get_year_link($year); ?> "><?php echo $year; ?></a></li>
<?php endforeach; ?>
</ul></li>
</ul>use:
<ul>
<li>Archives</li>
<li>
<?php
$years = $wpdb->get_col("SELECT DISTINCT YEAR(post_date) FROM $wpdb->posts ORDER BY post_date");
foreach($years as $year) : ?>
<a href="<?php echo get_year_link($year); ?> "><?php echo $year; ?></a>
<?php endforeach; ?>
</li>
</ul>::EDIT:: Sorry, I misread and thought you were asking the opposite. They should be already, unless your stylesheets are messing with your default
<ul>

In reply to: “Uncategorized Posts” always shows zero count…For me to list the uncategorized posts FIRST I would have to either (1) set up a sub-category under “Uncategorized posts” and refer to that category using “child_of” or (2) exclude all of the normal categories, in which case I would no longer get the counts for THOSE categories…

In reply to: “Uncategorized Posts” always shows zero count…Strange, when I use that code it gives me a list of all of my categories. Note however that there are no “child_of” categories under category “1” (no subcategories).

In reply to: “Uncategorized Posts” always shows zero count…Hmmm, now that I’m playing around with it, it seems like this is a general rule: Once I have excluded a category in wp_list_cats, then in any subsequent calls to wp_list_cats, the post-count will always be zero for that category. Is this a known bug?

In reply to: “Uncategorized Posts” always shows zero count…There are no children. If I make the replacement with “0”, I get a full list of all the categories, not just the uncategorized one. My uncategorized posts category has an id of “1”, so I also tried replacint with a value of “1”, and the tag output nothing.

In reply to: “Uncategorized Posts” always shows zero count…P.S. Any way I could’ve posted that code more nicely? It came out pretty ugly…
