In my case I am hosting it one local server. It’s only me accessing it. It is idle most of the time.

I’m happy it’s probably something I have configured though.

However I will open my own ticket once I have stopped working out how to use thee plugin

I’m having a very similar issue. If I disable the plugin the sites performance returns to normal.

I’m using multisite BTW and it has an impact on only the one site I am testing it on

Not recommended because any changes will be overwritten and breaks support? Or is there more reasons?

I found where to remove the A-Z and also adjust the length which generates a perfect result for me.

Can I not just restrict the character set to numbers at the creation of the Private ID or is it more complicated than that? I assume there is a random statement in there some ware that picks from a list of charioteers. I’m happy to adjust this single line to achieve that if that works and manually update the same line in future updates. Assuming I can work it out in the first place.

The purpose for asking is I would like the use the Private ID as a pin for a telephone service you can only register once for.

An alternative Idea is to add an additional field and generate a random number but like the Private ID this would have to be unique in the database. Is this possible?

I think this plugin is virtually perfect for the task I am looking to use it for and have been looking for a few years now. The last bit of the jigsaw is the ID.

I don’t think so. I think I found the answer which is to install the plugin and activate it on your main site only and this will protect all sites but I have found that some features do not work like changing the sub sites login page name.

It would be good to see a bit more support for multisite. It would be easy to detect the install is multisite and to put the configuration on the multisite network page and to support all features down to the sub sites.

There doesn’t seam to be much documentation about multisite support.

I switched to YOAST google analytics and this fixed the issue.

I thought I had check all these but it looks like google analytics suit is the culprit. I will do further investigation.

I’ve checked the file permissions and they look right.

Is there a setting which can restrict how a link works to a PDF?

I can right mouse click and open but not left mouse click to open

So I just tried a couple of different PDF files and they do not work on the main site either but do on the sub sites.

Also tried word and an mp3 file and they do work on the main site so its still just PDF files on the main site.

You can right mouse click on the links and you can download them that way but clicking on them just doesn’t do anything

Any ideas from the multisite group why I can’t download or link to PDF files on the main site but I can on sub folder sites?
