Ok, I think I figured it out.
I used WP Site Health Plugin to look for conflict and there didn’t appear to be any. I then activated the All in One Security Plugin and under the plugins tab turned on all firewall options and tested each of them before turning on and testing all other plugin features.
Took ages and I found nothing but the issue has gone away and I am logging in and out of WP admin with no issues now.
Thanks again
Hi mbrsolution and thanks,
This is the first time logging back into WP admin since resetting the plugin. I am still having the same logging in issues so I will try and go through the firewall rules that you talk about.
Would you know of any video or written details to follow as not sure where the firewall rules are actually set.
Thanks again.
@ mbrsolution. Its me again.
I think I have sorted it now.
That was so kind of you.
Is there anything you think I have to do inside the settings in the plugin to prevent it happening again.
Thank you
Thanks for taking time to respond to me mbrsolution.
No,I am not able to enable the plugin because once I get to step 3 of your instructions it throws me out. So in a nutshell I have to disable the plugin to work on the backend. If the plugin name is changed via cPanel back to its correct name it throws me out. I therefore cannot do anything to the plugin via the WP dashboard area.
Not nice at the moment ):

Could you elaborate on what makes him sound dodgy? I mean what kind of website issues would he need to have my username and passwords for?
Could you advise or recommend someone reputable who will be able to teach me how to finish off the building of my site?
Thanking you

In reply to: I need help to change my WordPress usernameHi Jan Dembowski. Thanks for your advice. I’m new to WordPress so selfhosted WordPress install dosen’t mean much to me. My web hosting package is managed and not self hosted. Are you referring to my local or remote server. I think I will get a friend to download WordPress again. Do you know if that will rectify the problem?
s_ha: I followed your instructions and I managed to prevent the username showing up so thank you so much for that. As I am new to WordPress I don’t think I will try editing the database. Thanks for help ??
