In reply to: Amazon Affiliate Links In WP 3.8@wpyogi … 1.) Glad to know it is working for you. 2.) Are you testing both Old Code and New Code BTW? 3.) Yes, I did a brand new post, pasting into the TEXT Editor (HTML Tab) and it does not show the New Code. 4.) I am going to do it again now. 5.) Yes I have now deactivated all plugins and switched to 2013 Default Theme. 6.) I have since re-booted. 7.) Dumped browser history. 8.) Flushed DNS cache.

In reply to: Amazon Affiliate Links In WP 3.8And I do now about how code gets stripped when you switch tabs … I watched that happen before.

In reply to: Amazon Affiliate Links In WP 3.8Did you use the “New Code”???
New Code:
<iframe src=”https://rcm-na.amazon-adsystem.com/e/cm?lt1=_blank&bc1=FFFFFF&IS2=1&npa=1&bg1=FFFFFF&fc1=555555&lc1=5B35B5&t=fixcremys-20&o=1&p=8&l=as1&m=amazon&f=ifr&ref=tf_til&asins=0132823497″ style=”width:120px;height:240px;” scrolling=”no” marginwidth=”0″ marginheight=”0″ frameborder=”0″></iframe>Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Amazon Affiliate Links In WP 3.8@andrew … there is nothing to see … as the new code does not produce the link … it is not visible on the refreshed – Visit Site Live Page … the new code can only be seen on the Text Editor Tab (HTML).

In reply to: Amazon Affiliate Links In WP 3.8@andrew … paste new code into your WordPress site and tell me that it works.
New Code:
<iframe src=”https://rcm-na.amazon-adsystem.com/e/cm?lt1=_blank&bc1=FFFFFF&IS2=1&npa=1&bg1=FFFFFF&fc1=555555&lc1=5B35B5&t=fixcremys-20&o=1&p=8&l=as1&m=amazon&f=ifr&ref=tf_til&asins=0132823497″ style=”width:120px;height:240px;” scrolling=”no” marginwidth=”0″ marginheight=”0″ frameborder=”0″></iframe>Then I will tip my head like a German Shepherd who just heard an insanely odd noise, and be perplexed yet again.

In reply to: Amazon Affiliate Links In WP 3.8@andrew … I concluded this by copying the code from a year ago, from one of my websites, to a brand new website and the the old code works.
The new code, from the same darned product, gotten today does not work, on either site.
In comparing apple to apple … the orchestration or layout of the code, comparing the old the the new … is different.
Old code works on both sites. New code does not work on either site.

In reply to: Amazon Affiliate Links In WP 3.8Well, I think it’s going to come up, a lot, unless everybody is using a plugin for Amazon linking.
See the opening grouping in the code string …
<iframe style= …
as compared to
<iframe src= …This is the problem, WordPress does not like the new orchestration of the code, and it will force folks to go set up an AWS Account (Amazon Web Services Account) and get credentials … the Access Key and Secret Access Key, which get entered into the various plugins, so that you are no longer manually pasting an Amazon link.
With the plugin(s) the link will always be monitored and updated as changes to the product/link occur over time.

In reply to: Amazon Affiliate Links In WP 3.8This is the old code, it works today.
<iframe style="width: 120px; height: 240px;" src="https://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?lt1=_top&bc1=FFFFFF&IS2=1&npa=1&bg1=FFFFFF&fc1=555555&lc1=5B35B5&t=fixcremys-20&o=1&p=8&l=as1&m=amazon&f=ifr&ref=tf_til&asins=0132823497" height="240" width="320" frameborder="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" scrolling="no"></iframe>
This is the new code, it does not work today.
<iframe src="https://rcm-na.amazon-adsystem.com/e/cm?lt1=_blank&bc1=FFFFFF&IS2=1&npa=1&bg1=FFFFFF&fc1=555555&lc1=5B35B5&t=fixcremys-20&o=1&p=8&l=as1&m=amazon&f=ifr&ref=tf_til&asins=0132823497" style="width:120px;height:240px;" scrolling="no" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0"></iframe>
They, Amazon fooled with the formatting and the new code does not work in WordPress. So is everybody just jumping into plugins for this problem?
Which, if you do a lot of Amazon linking you really should dispense with the manual copy/paste activity, agreed, but I still want to know what the heck happened, and is anybody else seeing this?

I SUSPECT: and hope that you can help me get a “remove” button or option in there via some other avenue, within the CraftyCart/ECommerce setup, that, as a greenie/newbie, I am not aware of, . . . I hope, I hope. Thanks fer workin’ yer magic on me Rev. Beth
