    Hi All,

Same problem, error message for me as well … as above in kym424.

So, thanks Denzel, after reading your take on this issue, I went into the theme files via FileZilla, deleted the freshly installed update of the theme, or folder with the Customizr theme, downloaded a fresh file, unzipped it, popped it on over via FTP / FileZilla, viola, all is well.

I use HostGator and methinks there is some snafu that has to do with HG, just a hunch, else why are other folks not having the issue?

Anyway, problem resolved, by simply deleting the baddd file and replacing with a fresh file.

I was alarmed too, at first, but all is well now. ??

    STILL LOVE MY THEME!!!

    XOXOXO,

Ok, I will go tinker with that now … ??

WP Super Cache Settings >> Easy Tab >> Delete Cached Pages

    Slick!!! Excellente!!!

Mobile view IS WORKING for doggiedoodlekit.com which DOES HAVE the patch installed … after dumping the WP Super Cache as instructed!

    Another very happy customer! ??

    Thanks so much DZ. ??

    DZ,

Yes, I have Chrome on the desktop and the mobile … I dump and clear the history all the time on the desktop and the mobile … I learned this lesson the hard way, spending untold hours, only to realize I was not viewing-looking at, the freshest possible load of code, ha, ha.

Mobile view NOT working for doggiedoodlekit.com which DOES HAVE the patch installed.

I don’t believe I have the KitKat Op System on this Samsung S5. I am not gonna sweat this, as I know Nick will update this soon enough.

Mobile view NOT working for bethculbertson.com which DOES NOT HAVE the patch installed. I am not not gonna muss with this setup. I will wait for Nick and the fix. Also, if somebody is clever enough, astute enough, awake enough, you can navigate to the parent-link menu item via the breadcrumb trail.

    All is well DZ. ??

    STATS:
    DESKTOP: Windows Vista
    WORDPRESS: 4.1
    CUSTOMIZR: 3.2.10
    CUSTOMIZR CHILD THEME: 1.0.0
    URL: https://www.bethculbertson.com

    DZ,

Also, please note that on a separate website, my own, bethculbertson.com, I am using the same Windows Vista Desktop Setup.

And I am NOT experiencing the parent-link menu item problem on the desktop view. (???)

The problem IS happening using the Samsung G5 for the mobile view of bethculbertson.com.

This is just an FYI Report. Thanks very much all of you guys. ??

    DZ,

    MUAH-MUAH-MUAH & XOXO & Smooches Galore!

Tested working now, with your patch plugin activated!

FYI, I experienced the problem on a Windows Vista Desktop Setup and the parent-link menu item was not being opened-read.

DESKTOP. After activating the plugin patch, the desktop view is working.

MOBILE. Still not working, not reading the parent-link menu items, with/using a Samsung S5 as the reader-viewer-browser.

Still happy to have desktop functionality, though the mobile is rather important, but I am stating the obvious! ??

Thanks so much for this patch DZ! ??

    Anyone,

1.) Is this problem so simple … that I am being ‘blonde’ about it? ??
    2.) Please look see. ??

1.) I know it’s a new shaky thing for you to undertake …
2.) You have to get familiar with FTP – File Transfer Protocol … better known as a program called FileZilla for most of us.
3.) You log into the back end of your domain hosted files at such a remote site/server such as Host Gator or Blue Host or GoDaddy etcetera, where ever it is, that you have your Hosting Account.
4.) I completely cleared out, deleted, the faulty file which was this particular version of the Customizr Theme … then disconnected and reconnected my FileZilla connection several times. (I have found this helps, and it might be just that time has elapsed for a refreshed file report condition to present; whatever; it makes me feel certain beyond the shadow of a doubt that the old files are swept out.)
5.) I went to the WordPress Customizr Theme Repository and manually downloaded onto my local computer/laptop, a clean version of the Customizr Theme Files and I extracted same in file folder all by itself.
6.) With this new, clean file ready for transfer into FileZilla and on up into serverland, at/in/via, your Hosting Account with for instance, Host Gator, you are now ready to do the transfer of your clean, clear version of the Customizr Theme Files.
7.) This is a left to right, drag & drop file transfer. On your left, in the FileZilla Panel is/are your local computer files. On the right is/are your remote computer files, the files that are resident in/at/on your Host Gator Hosting Account Server/Computer. (We all are essentially renting space in a big, huge, server computer, like a Host Gator, etc.)
8.) So, you drag the new clean, extracted/unzipped file of Customizr and kerplunk it on over to this spot in/on/at the remote server … /public_html/wp-content/themes … this is where you drag/drop the fresh Customizr Theme File.
9.) I hope this ultra-elongated explanation helps you get where you need to go; this is how I always needed/wanted it all spelled out for me, because at one time I didn’t have a clue how to do this stuff either.
10.) Chin up, you can do this, it’s very methodical and step by step, go slow, take a deep breath and plunge right in! ??

    RDell,

Yes, I am happy, thanks very much.

I would suggest that we/he/Nick make it easier to find, this is a regular thing, these updates, and even if you’re not a code-nut, you still want to know, in simple terms, ‘what got changed or updated’ as I do.

I’d love to see a static spot on the Customizr website where this can be accessed, from the front end of the website, instead of via chasing the info down from a Customizr adept like you, on the support forums, and then bookmarking it, or noting somewhere, the link to this file, location and structure.

I say this not only for self, but for those coming along and finding this theme, which I am now personally raving about. So, when people I refer to this theme come to it and embrace it, I want them to easily find what they need to find, and right now, it’s not easy to find this info on the changes, which in my humble opinion should be SOP.

So, I want to say here, “THANK YOU NICK”, love this this theme, I only say what I say in support of you/Nick/Themes & Co., and the effort.

RDELL … to you I say, “THANK YOU RDELL”. You, and ELECTRICFEET have been a huge help in the course of using, understanding, and modding this theme.

    Sincerely,
    B
