do you have phpMyAdmin? This is the only way I know how to fix that. I had teh same problem.

Ok , so I think I get the point of what is happening with my pages…how do I make it so WP will manage the .htaccess file? (I know all about permissions, I’ve been tinkering with *NIX for years and I do have shell access to the server)
