Hi Amir,
just for your info: We switched to 14.11.2 last week. No changes. Client-side-tracking doesn’t count correctly (even thoug the bypasss adblockers option is active).
Best,
Hi Amir,
I updated to version 14.10.3 last week and tried again with client-side-tracking and the active bypass adblockers option. No changes, the count went down again.
Best,
Hi Amir,
I tried version 14.10.2 with Client Side Tracking and the activated Bypass Ad Blockers option for a few days now. The count went down exactly as before. So unluckily there’s no improvement.

amp_libxml_version: 2.9.10Hi Amir,
I tried it for a few days to use server side tracking with exkluded RSS feeds and exkluded 404 pages and the count remains at about 20.000 views a week. The count number implodes only if I switch to client side tracking.
Best,
Hi Amir,
the problem is not a higher view count, but a lower one. As I said, using server side tracking we get 20.600 views a week, with client side tracking it’s just 600. That is not inflation, that is implosion. And it’s not correct either. I have more readers for most single entries. The number of views reported by statify and the tool of our webhoster (Ionos) also is about 20.000 views a week. Anyway I activated excluded RSS feeds and excluded 404 pages while still using server side tracking. I’ll let you know if that changes anything.
Best,
Hi Amir,
I activated the client side tracking again and enabled the “bypass ad blockers” option. I used these settings for a week, as you suggested. Additionally I updated the plugin to version 14.10.1. According to the stats the number of views dropped from 20.646 (using server side tracking) two weeks ago to 688 last week (using client side tracking with the bypass ad blockers option active). Something is still wrong.
Best,
hi Amir,
the tracking mode was set to server side tracking on all sites. It’s the only setting that works. I changed the setting to client side tracking on https://www.deinenergieportal.de this morning.
Hi Amir,
I upgraded to version 14.10 last week. No changes in the behaviour of the plugin.
Best,
Hi Amir,
the website addresses are:
We have no CDN and our host (Ionos) shouldn’t have such tools enabled.
Thanks and regards,
Hi Amir,
thanks for your reply. I added the line you mentioned to the wp-config.php-file. The memory error is gone now. Thank you for that.
I also made an error in my original post (stupidly I didn’t look right). The count is correct if I activate server side tracking (about 6000 visitors per day). If I switch over to client side tracking, the number drops to 90. If I activate server side tracking again, the number goes back to 6000. It’s the same on all three sites. Unluckily I have to travel next week, so I coudn’t do everything you mentioned in your step-by-step guide.
I did the following however:
The response of the request in XHR is successful.
The IP detection works.
I have no idea, where to find the option to whitelist “wp-json/wp-statistics/v2” in the plugin settings.
I activated the option “bypass ad blockers”.
There is no cache active on the sites.
I didn’t change the plugins on the site for months. So I don’t think, the problem is related to plugin conflicts.
Thanks in advance and regards,
Héctor,
that works fine for me! Thanks for your quick response and your nice plugin!
Best,
Gotz
