So I got back in contact with the member who had this happen to them to get as much detail as possible. Here is a new screenshot of the bot messaging them.

For clarification their time zone is BST and the website/bot I think are operating on eastern time. So best as I can understand the situation went as follows:

– Member A was gifted a 1 year membership last year on May 25th, 2020, this was before we had the plugin for discord integration on the website. Once it was added earlier this year Member A was able to connect his discord to the site and get his role.

– Member B was gifted 1 year membership at 12:30am April 2nd (BST) by Member A.

– Member A is messaged by the bot two minutes later at 12:32am (BST) as if they had just gotten a new 1 year membership with an expiration of one year from the date of purchase of the gift membership for Member B.

– Member A is messaged by the bot on April 2nd 13:38 BST being told that their membership has expired on April 1st 2023 and the bot removed their member role despite havign been told earleir his expiration was on April 1st, 2024

– At this point Member A makes contact via our ticket system in discord to inform us of the issue. He decides to disconnect his discord link to the website and reconnect it. This seems to resolve the issue and the bot messages him informing him of his membership expiring on May 25th, 2023 as it is expected to and assigns him the Member Role.

I have asked what if any other plugins/add-ons are being used on the site but they are currently out of town and will likely have to wait till they return to get an answer on this as I only have contact with them via Discord.

If there is anything more I can do or any specific information you need let me know and I’ll do my best to get it as quickly as I am able. To my knowledge no one else has experienced this issue at this time. Which to me makes sense as I feel someone on a gifted membership gifting a membership to someone else is not something that is going to happen often.

I do have a question we’ve been wondering about. What exactly is the interval of time the plugin waits before sending the queue of actions to the discord bot?

Hey sorry for the delay in reply I had to make sure it was indeed what we were using and took a bit for them to get back to me. But yes it is the memberpress-gifting addon.
