Nope this is one of the best out there. The theme I use now has an inbuilt slider feature so I use that. It’s the MADE theme from themeforest.

I don’t use this plugin anymore so not sure if there’s a bug or something. But, I’m guessing you haven’t added the other pictures to the slider.

Michael, I see that you already have a working slider on your home page. Why don’t you just use whatever you’re already using?

Ooh! I never knew you could go to the css files like that before!! Now, I can check out the CSS of some sites that I like to help modify mine. Thanks so much. Also, I’ve only coded with HTML before and C++ and yup small syntax errors can be really frustrating. Thanks for the link to the validation page, will check it out now.

WPyogi thanks so much, I never knew CSS worked like that, I always thought that if there was an error it would just skip. Yup the ending tag was wrong. How did u know the exact problem the same thing color to white? That doesn’t show on source code so was wondering.

It worked, but I did learn something new – That code had to go up to the beginning of the css just below the import call function (if that’s what it’s called) for it to work.

I got it ?? I just posted the cycloneslider id onto a page previewed it, checked out the source code, copied the relevant part and placed it in a text widget. This topic can be closed as it’s resolved ??

Hey Cosnix thanks for the help, that does explain it a lot. Didn’t realize but it was you who helped me change the arrows (The images of the next and previous). I like the Myrtle Template (Pretty much the same as the arrows I created only thing mine were blue). It’s neat and when you have the arrows in a particular color surrounded by another color as in this case, no matter the background color the image would be clearly visible.

Did it ?? It was already linked to the image folder and the file was uploaded there. So all I had to do was upload the new ones.

My question was regarding the arrow in the slideshow to view the next and previous slide. Would I be able to change the color in style.css itself? Or do I need to do something else. Any idea which code I’d have to modify?

hashirkk when you add an image to the slider, make sure you add a link URL to the image in your database (It’s done automatically – don’t change that). You can link to a desired page later on from the slider options near each image.

Question
The slider has arrows to go to the next and previous slide right. Is there any way I could change it from white to black? Since mine’s a product review site there’s a lot of white backgrounds and the arrows can’t be seen at all. Which file should I edit?
