I’ve switched to .htaccess mode – had Server Error 500’s when I first installed so was using pass-thru.

If it breaks again I’ll go back to pass-thru

I believe (but may be wrong) that the lens data is part of the CIPA standard..I looked at this document and on p42 in section H at the bottom it seems to imply that it is a standard.

I’m not sure what you mean by new installations? Does that mean the change will get removed if the plugin is updated?

I just realised I can change the description myself in the settings panel!!!

One last suggestion(?) – Can we have a display order for the EXIF data (I don’t use IPTC but I would think the same might apply).

Thank you for the comprehensive answer.

I ran the recuperate process – I’m not sure if it added any data but I did find the data I am looking for in one of the undefined tags at the end of Table XI – it is Tag #66 E#A434, labeled as UndefinedTag:0xA434:

On my images it shows the lens data – for example if you go to here you can see it in the EXIF panel.

Can you label this tag as ‘Lens Data’ in your next release? Can I change the description now in any way?

Quick update – I’ve switched to a diffent Lightbox plug-in on https://www.gfiapac.com – now using Lightbox gallery from Hiroaki Miyashita (https://wpgogo.com/development/lightbox-gallery.html) and it seems to be working.

As you said, it looks like a Lightbox 2 issue – thanks for spending the time looking into things.

I know it does – try the other site, which is still running 1.7.4 with Lightbox 2…www.planephotos.org.uk

Understood – odd though that everything appeared to work on on 1.7.4 even under IE8….

I’m geeting the same issue with NextGen v1.8.0 and Lightbox2 v2.9.2 on one of my sites (https://www.gfiapac.com)

My other site (https://www.planephotos.org.uk) is working fine with NextGen v1.7.4 and Lightbox2 v2.9.2

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
