Getting this too, synchronizing and refreshing immediately removes the message, but it comes back after refreshing two or three minutes later.

Should have clarified, yes, the colours and customizations as per @chrisbegley were knocked out by the WP core update. hope of all hopes that 1.2 would fix, sadly no. (No WP Studio here either)

Same here, no option to upload image available. The popup menu on the Site Log icon only offers Transform to and Styles.

Litespeed here as well, so could be a thing.

The above post-title?and?post-excerpt blocks do not appear in the front page when saved, however they do appear in the blog home or posts page, in accordance with the settings in options-reading, is there any chance of getting them on the front page, and dispensing with the blog home altogether?

Think in my reading a child theme is required for that, not sure though.

Hi jordesign, thanks for the interest, it was a problem more with understanding the nomenclature more than anything. Have since changed a few things around, so the list of items in wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page – which includes the Posts Page entry, now makes sense.

it was late, hastily assuming the Posts Page entry was actually a post, not an index, so expecting more items to appear in there.

In the blog home (wp-admin/site-editor.php?postType=wp_template&postId=twentytwentyfour%2F%2Fhome) there is

“Displays the latest posts as either the site homepage or as the “Posts page” as defined under reading settings. If it exists, the Front Page template overrides this template when posts are shown on the homepage.”

Currently considering the possibility of combining the pages so the posts show on the homepage. Even if the Front Page and Posts Page are both using the Single Page template, could things get too involved for a (slightly error prone) new user? The chief focus is to keep things a simple as possible for when the next Twenty Twenty X theme arrives.

Understand it’s a WP 6.4.1 problem, posting because of just this one occurrence of the error appearing in the log a couple of days ago:

Apologies if not clear: The forum correspondents reside in countries known to me, thus there exists a personal list of recipient countries under consideration. Best of luck to correspondents from other countries. Therefore, before embedding some video link in BBPress, I want to know if any countries in the above-mentioned list are blocked by the originators of the video.

All the WordPress plugin would do is parse the video url and return a list of countries blocked by it, as the above linked cgi script does, no user tracking required, fortunately.

If determining whether a video URL link will play in the known country of your known audience somehow involves tracking visitor IP addresses, then yes, it ?can never happen in WordPress core, or as an official plugin by the WordPress team.

Came across @mdawaffe‘s reply in this thread:

If ALL pages

1. copy page.php (in your current theme’s directory) to page.old.php
2. copy single.php to page.php (now you see why we made a backup)
3. Tada. If you want the sidebar back, you’ll have to find the class="widecolumn" and replace it with class="narrowcolumn" and then put: <?php get_sidebar(); ?>
 right above <?php get_footer(); ?>

If SOME pages

1. Do the same thing, but instead of overwriting page.php copy single.php to a new file: pagecomm.php
2. Edit pagecomm.php to include the appropriate Template Name hook (you might read the whole article while you’re there)
3. Edit the Page in question and tell it to use the new Template you’ve just created by selecting the new Template from the “Page Template” dropdown 

Is that the kind of thing that has to be done? Also looks like more hoops and hurdles with the Universal code, Pip would be so much better than the manual setup.

After a quick trawl, couldn’t find much evidence of a mixed BBPress/BuddyPress & Disqus setup – is it actually possible for Disqus to operate at all in this arrangement?

Also raised the issue over there, being a new poster, it isn’t appearing in any of their tagged channels yet.
