In reply to: [EME Sync Events] Events don’t sync AutomaticallyMy error log file doesn’t have much of anything in it, but what is in it is:

In reply to: [EME Sync Events] Events don’t sync AutomaticallyI also have WP Cron Events installed and I even run the event from within WP Cron and the events don’t update/resync. I’ve had this problem with this plug-in ever since I installed it probably a year ago and just never thought to post a comment here.
I don’t know if this is another problem with version 5.2.1, but…I have the “Blog Subscriptions (JetPack)” widget in the left Sidebar or our site. I have the “Show Total Number of Subscribers” checkbox checked.
I notice now on our website that it says we have 1,922 subscribers. That is a problem because the expected value is only about 145.
If I log into the connected WordPress.com control panel, it shows our site has 145 Email Followers.
So, where is 1,922 coming from?
Everything is working fine right now with the one-line plugin workaround that was pushed out.
Exact same problem and behavior with Gravity Forms Notification editor. Had to roll back Jetpack to version 5.0.
Yep. 5.2.1 causes issues when linking to wordpress.com. Had to roll back to 5.0 before issues would go away and configure WP to not update plugins automatically.
I found that I disconnect form WordPress.com (i.e., do not “Connect to JetPack”), the “Visual” mode problems go away. I have also found that the only way I can “Connect to JetPack” and everything work is to roll back JetPack to version 5.0.
Similar to other problems mentioned regarding “Visual” and “Text” modes.
I have two identical sites – one is a development / staging site and the other one is production. Only difference between the two is on the DEV site, JetPack IS NOT connected to WordPress.com (in settings). No problems with DEV site.
Disconnect production site from WordPress.com and production and problems go away.
Only way I can get the Production site and JetPack to work with JetPack connected to WordPress.com is to roll back the JetPack version to 5.0.
Same issue with the Notification Editor in the Gravity Forms plugin on our site. “Text Mode” visible, but once the “Visual” mode tab is selected, see nothing and then cannot switch back to “Text” mode.
Anything above JetPack 5.0 has broken the Notifications Editor in Gravity Forms on my site.
Same thing with Gravity Forms. Have TinyMCE Advanced 4.6.1 installed. After installing latest version of JetPack, in Gravity Forms I can no longer edit the Notification Messages. I at first thought it was JetPack/Gravity Forms issue but saw this thread, disabled the TinyMCE Advanced plugin, and problem with Gravity Forms went away.

In reply to: 4.3 Upgrade Breaks Gravity FormsI like Gravity Forms, don’t get me wrong. But really the licensing and support model (costs) are more than the OS my entire site is running on. My time I will likely spend trying to find a less expensive alternative is probably more costly than simply paying to renew my Gravity Forms support. But, the investment [in switching to something else] may be worth it in the long run. At any rate, customers typically vote with their wallet or with their feet. If they are getting what they want at a reasonable cost and getting good support, they will keep coming back. If they don’t, they will walk. This one problem is going to cost me $199 to fix; more if I try to fix it myself. Hum, which way to go?

In reply to: 4.3 Upgrade Breaks Gravity FormsCan’t open a support ticket if support is expired.

In reply to: 4.3 Upgrade Breaks Gravity FormsDrastic times calls for drastic measures. Normally, I wouldn’t alter core files either but I had no choice. I was not the original purchaser of the Developer License on the system I now support; it was on the system when I inherited it. It never broke until now and couldn’t justify spending that kind of money each year. Still can’t really. All my other plug-ins are up-to-date, and they are free. So…

In reply to: 4.3 Upgrade Breaks Gravity FormsFWIW, I replaced the file wp-admin/includes/class-wp-list-table.php from the previous version of WordPress and problem went away. That, however, caused the table display in “All Posts” and “All Pages” to be affected – the mouse-over quick links would not display.
