The issue has been found

The question I have is why that code suddenly appeared, or why it suddenly started taking effect, and why does it only cause a problem in Desktop view not Mobile?

My guess is that the theme was auto-updated and that something didn’t jive. Years ago I modified the CSS in a couple of files to lower the animation delay. Curiously, as mentioned, at least one other person had the problem years ago so… I dunno.

My error was that the RSS feed was invalid. I don’t remember there being a line number. But *immediately* after disabling Featured Images in RSS for Mailchimp & Other Email the error disappeared and MailChimp sent the awaiting email-campaign.

Same thing here: RSS Feed Error. Deactivating the plugin immediately resolved the issue. It appears that something broke in the latest update to Version 1.5.6 on WP 5.5.1.

In WordPress/Pages click on your Home page (not Edit under the page name). On the Edit page scroll down to OceanWP settings. On the Title tab choose Disable.
