The article where I got this screenshot from talks about the Yoast Test Helper plugin used to reset indexables.

Could resetting the indexables possibly resolve my issue?

I already tried deleting and resubmitting the sitemap, unfortunately that didn’t resolve the issue.

If you notice in the coverage graph, for the first 3 days I had a valid page. Around that time, when I logged into WordPress, there was a prompt from Yoast plugin, asking if I would like it to optimize certain things (can’t really remember what). I clicked to allow it to do its thing. I’m pretty sure this noindex issue started happening after that.

Hi, I’m still not getting indexed on Google.
I have no issue getting indexed on Bing however.

Hi, so it’s been over 24 hrs now since I re-submitted my sitemap (which showed ‘success’ instantly) and it’s still showing the same noindex error mentioned in my first post.
Please let me know how I should proceed.

Hi, thanks for the quick reply

I don’t actually have any problems with the sitemap in Search Console, it’s already showing as ‘success’. The problem is when it crawls the sitemap it cannot fetch any URLs. It just says ‘Couldn’t fetch’, URLs discovered remain 0.
But just in case, I did as you suggested, I deleted my sitemap and resubmitted it and again the outcome was the green ‘success’, fingers crossed this resolves my issue.
I’ll post an update in a couple of days.
