Gaurav: I waited to reply until after I had a test run on a new post to see how it functioned, etc. No need for details! But I do believe the myriad of issues have all been addressed and ‘fixed’! Many thanks to you and all the others who worked on different segments of these issues.
I am now officially checking this as ‘resolved’
??
Joseph: Thank you for fixing the double website issue. I reconnected my site to Jetpack as you instructed. The good news is that on my actual website admin I am fully functional with Jetpack and can access stats, etc. However, the problems with my WP.com Reader Features still persist. I cleared the cache of my browser just in case that was the problem, but it wasn’t.
In addition, my own recent blog posts are not showing up in the WP Reader anymore even though I am ‘subscribed’. So I don’t know if my original problem about “My Blog Post in the WordPress Reader is not showing an add a comment space, rectangular comment sign, star likes sign but it does have the ‘share & reblog’ symbols. Also, there are no Subscribers listed.” is still an issue, but I suspect it still is.
Extra info: Don’t know if this matters but, after I got reconnected, I didn’t click the button at the bottom of the page that states “Still not sure? Start with the free version and try out our premium products later. Start with Jetpack Free”: here because it had the confirmed reconnect with Jetpack notification at the upper right side on the top of that page.
That’s where it stands for now. I look forward to your further help and investigation into these problems. Thanks!
I decided to send links to the mistaken double website listing as per mentioned above since the screen shot didn’t go through.
https://wordpress.com/stats/insights I found this randomly and mysteriously, not via my regular wp.com reader dashboard
https://wordpress.com/sites this is what shows on my regular wp.com reader dashboard
I hope to hear from you soon!
Ajay:
Thanks for responding.
I went to the contact form and didn’t know which website to check – because that’s just ONE part of the problem (in addition to the ones above):
The “Sites” sidebar in my WPReader/dashboard lists my one website as two (the same) active sites. (screen shot below)
So I guess I have no option but to list my address here:
I hope this additional info aids in your investigation of these issues.
A nice tech assistant at my new hosting service went the extra mile to help with a WordPress rather than server problem…Good luck with your Jetpack problem.
Further issues include an inability to ‘register’ as a non-commercial license. I find it interesting that I have to check out and use my AMEX to pay the $0.00 contribution I indicated on the form. So, I didn’t do that!
I suspect the lack of proper re-registration (as I’ve had Jetpack as part of my evolving WP site since 2013) is part of the problem also.
Thank you for any help you can offer in these issues that affect the full functionality of my website.
FYI: for reference, I sent this help request to WPfailures forum since this seemed an interrelated problem.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Multiple problems with WP Reader: can’t access comments, stats, etcThank you for this singular statement: “Specifically, Jetpack brings already built-in WordPress.com features (like the subscription emails and WordPress.com Reader) to www.remarpro.com blogs like yours.” That clears up my understanding of this problem, even if it hasn’t solved anything on Jetpack’s side of things. I hesitate to mark this as ‘resolved’ because your prompt reply feels like a lifeline in the web (!) of further helps in these issues! But mark it resolved, I must – you have done your job well. Thank you. I will reference this convo in the pending Jetpack help request along with other added info for them to consider.
All’s well, now. Thank you.
Thank you for your prompt and informative reply.
Note: I understand that a possible reason for the failed reconnect is because the migrated ‘preview’ site is not live therefore a connection cannot be made with Jetpack and my WordPress.com account.
So a further question is this:
If I reactivate the W3 Total Cache plugin (a reversal of the suggested process as described above), will it put the Jetpack in its original migrated form ready to be reconnected once it is live (after the dns redirect to my new host is complete?)
Please deactivate the link I provided above.
Got it fixed.

In reply to: [Hemingway] is theme updated to use wp5.8?Hey kw! You were right, yes indeed, it worked on other browsers. Then, after flushing cache on my usual browser as you suggested, I came across some comments stating that since Gutenberg Block Editor was added, it didn’t ‘play well’ with my browser of choice: Mozilla Firefox. But no solutions were offered…so I updated my browser and VOILA!
All is well in this lady’s blogland!
I’m sure there are lots of others using Firefox coming up on this same situation – in my case the fix was simple. Finding it was not!
Happy travels!Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Hemingway] is theme updated to use wp5.8?Your suggestions are now my first line of attack on re-tackling this problem! Might continue with this tonight, but definitely tomorrow. Will keep you in the loop – again, thank you sooooo much for your prompt support!

In reply to: [Hemingway] is theme updated to use wp5.8?In fact, my plug-ins are few: Akismet, Jetpack, AIOSEO, WP Fastest Cache, WP Revisions control, and WP Forms lite. On this staging site, they are all updated. Which I did before initiating the WP5.8 update.
Just in cast that info helps.
