In reply to: [Cyclone Slider] Error: Template "blue" not foundYes, I unzipped it. There’s no readme in blue.zip.
Where should I place the blue folder in my current theme?

In reply to: [Floating Social Bar] Version 1.1.1 Has Too Much Space Between IconsIn case you’re not seeing what I’m seeing, I recorded this screenshot.
Hey, I just looked at the page again, and the spacing was good when the page first loaded. Then it switched to the bad arrangement shown in the screenshot.
I refreshed the page, and it came up right again. I had to scroll up and down a few times before it shifted to the too-much-space version.
I upgraded to WP 3.6 a little while ago, and it may have produced a new problem in that only half of the bar displays when floating. This can be seen in this screenshot at my test site.

In reply to: [Google Typography] How to attachEric, this is a fine plugin. I was thinking of making it available to my clients so they could select their own fonts. However, the CSS field is, I’m afraid, too daunting for newbies. I think I’ll keep this plugin for me to use if a client wants a different font… or I think they should have one. ??

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Input Fields Too Wide in iTheme2 ThemeThanks, Takayuki. That page gave me enough to change the widths of all the fields. I changed the child theme’s style.css to get them all the same.
I would like to change different fields to different widths, but a quick read of the page left me confused. I’ll study it some more and see if I can figure it out.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Captcha Field Not Responding to Size SettingThanks for the explanation, Takayuki. I’ll keep it in mind if I decide it is worthwhile making a child theme.

In reply to: [Internet Defense League Cat Signal] Not working on my siteThanks, Chris. Pardon me for missing that point. I was testing another plugin that had campaigns, and I thought that point applied to it instead of yours.
Afterthought: It would be nice to have a Test option so we could immediately compare the Banner and Modal versions.

In reply to: [Internet Defense League Cat Signal] Not working on my siteI just installed the plugin on another site with a different theme, and still no joy.
Could it have anything to do with the themes being responsive? I used to be able to make themes do whatever I wanted, but the new jquery, etc. is still a mystery to me.
I’ve left the plugin active on both sites for now.

In reply to: [Internet Defense League Cat Signal] Not working on my siteThanks for the quick response, Chris. I’ve updated the plugin, but neither version seems to be appearing. I have to say that sometimes I can’t see recent changes in my sites, in spite of clearing out the browser history and cache. I think there is caching out there in the Net over which I have no control.
Neither is showing in either Firefox or Chrome.

In reply to: [Table of Contents Plus] Breaks Responsiveness of ThemeThanks for your input, Michael. Unfortunately, I sold this client on the free Gridly, and I don’t want to go through trying to find another theme that satisfies.
Gridly doesn’t seem to use media queries for responsiveness, and this leads to some other problems.
I think I’ll be able to use the free iTheme2 in place of Gridly from now on when I want a grid-type home page.
OK, now it’s working. The only change I made was to upload the files to the WP Media Library. The previous links were in the domain root.
I doubt the above had anything to do with the fix, but I’m glad it’s fixed!
My test song at https://www.cr-ministries.org/cr-bookstore/ played OK in Chrome, even though I had a fake URL for the ogg file. However, since it is not playing in Firefox, I did the following:
- Add the MIME lines to .htaccess
- Converted the MP3 to an OGG and uploaded it.
Unfortunately, it’s still not playing in Firefox. I confirmed the OGG would play locally. I converted it at https://audio.online-convert.com/convert-to-ogg
