Unchecking “Include full bootstrap front-end” fixed the problem.
Do you want me to do any other checks? Thanks for the fix.
Just a quick update – it appears the deletion of remote backups is tied to where they were written. So in my case, when I transferred backups from one cloud provider to another and changed the settings to use the new provider, only backups written by the plug-in directly to that new provider are managed by the plug-in. Backups copied there are not managed. Once I deleted the copied backups, the system correctly deletes backups after rolling over the set limit. Thinking about how this would be implemented, it seems apparent this would have to be the behavior – files are deleted by name, not by date/age, otherwise you risk deleting files not belonging to the backup. And those names are tied to specific cloud providers.
It’s possible these are not being deleted because I started out using dropbox, then transferred everything to Google Drive, including copying the files that had originally been written to Dropbox. I’ll report back after I’ve been running on Google Drive for over 7 days.

In reply to: [Simple Membership] bbPress forum post tags create new categoriesOther than this minor nuisance I’m very satisfied with the plugin. Since the bbPress tags appear as Custom Post Type, I’ll just learn to ignore those entries.

In reply to: [Simple Membership] bbPress forum post tags create new categoriesThank you. Direct communication between you and them will be far more efficient than having me sit in the middle. ??

In reply to: [Simple Membership] bbPress forum post tags create new categoriesWhere is Simple Membership reading these tags from? I’m sure this will be the first question the bbPress devs will ask.

In reply to: [Simple Membership] bbPress forum post tags create new categoriesFor the most part the pages the forums are on are already protected. The categories created by bbPress clutter the list and new ones are added each time a new tag is created in some forum. This makes it hard to determine if the category settings are correct.

In reply to: [Simple Membership] bbPress forum post tags create new categoriesHere are the first few lines of the table under the Category Protection tab:
4 Meeting Pics Post Category 10
1 Uncategorized Post Category 5
11 scroll saw Custom Post Type (topic-tag) 1The first two entries are categories I created for posts. The third line, however, is a tag on a forum post. The forum itself is on a “page”, not a “post”. While I have only a few actual page categories defined, I have many, many entries that are being created from forum posts. These are just clutter to me.
I’m still confused. I set the retention limit to 3. Once reached, it appears the oldest one is deleted when a new one is written. Is there max retention time period in the settings that I’ve missed?
Thanks
