Take your time – I’m just prototyping a new site. I’ve tried other “custom post type” plugins and they have had their own issues, but haven’t caused the 404 error. I suspect it’s permalink related, but I’m not an expert! ??

Good news and bad news. It actually does work to suppress the child groups from the Groups Directory page (very cool!). However, when I select the parent group from the list, it is throwing this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function bp_core_setup_globals() in /home/content/28/8075728/html/examplesite/wp-content/plugins/bp-group-hierarchy/bp-group-hierarchy-classes.php on line 22

Seems like you are right on top of it though – any idea on what’s going on with that error?

Thank you for fixing this plugin and providing a solution that works! I’m not exactly sure where the other one fell short, but your updates definitely provide the functionality I was looking for! It actually provides chat capability and even shows the group members that are in the room – imagine that!!!

Is it possible for you to share the details of the fix you are using? I don’t need this chat feature to be super robust, but I would like to have some level of chat capability in the groups. I would be OK if the fix wasn’t bullet proof.

Checking in to see how Round 2 is going. Have you made any progress to figure out how to make this plugin work? It seems like it should be straight forward, but my instance of it is DOA! It doesn’t show who is online, and pressing the Say button doesn’t do anything. In it’s current state it is not useable. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
