Ok here is where we are now.

It is not given me a broken link any longer but the page is blank – should it be blank?

maybe it is going right this time – it is showing over 600 files uploading before it just showed 1 file and went through in 2 seconds flat – this time is taking awhile

I am doing it all over again from the beginning……

fill in your database details

when I click on the wp-conf.php it opens in IE and then says open or save, when I chose open it just keeps saying open or save over and over again , when I click save it just rewrites over the wp-conf.pho I already have. ??

sam I did do all this over and over again –

no upload all at once with ftp
unzip wordpress on your desktop
open ftp client and connect to site
select all files and folders inside “wordpress” folder
upload to your root
now open the url for the install

I watched the video and still don’t get it ??

what do you mean by upload content? you mean unzip and then add the unzipped stuff 1 by 1 via FTP?

and what / how is keeping file/folder intact?

Please explain this to me assuming I know nothing….

that is the root – correct?

it is in var/www/ecleaning101

clayton please explain in detail how I do this?

unzip it and then put it in 1 item at a time?

I thought it said to add the unopened zip file?
