In reply to: How to add a text widget ?There is a great plugin called widget logic. You can specify what widgets you want to show on which page, or which type of page eg single.
This should work for you.

In reply to: Permalink ProblemI think so. I have contacted my hosts about the problem and they are normally pretty good at spotting that sort of thing. I have multo domain hosting and its working fine on other sites they host. The permalinks of being rewritten as I can see this in the URL – its just this weird random wrong pages being shown.

In reply to: Changing header image size – 2010 themeHi Esmi –
I finally got this one figured by searching for hours! Someone made a comment on a thread that if you change size settings you have to completely reupload the image to be used.
I had been unlinking and relinking within the page. Once I deleted and uploaded again it took the parameter as specified in the function overide code you kindly gave me before.
Thanks once again!

In reply to: Twenty ten theme – show blog title on all but the homepageHi Esmi,
Thanks for the response but this took the title off every page.
Not to worry – I decided yesterday after trying and trying without sucess to alter the homepage image and take the text off so it loooks ok with the title on the homepage now. Thanks for your help.

In reply to: Forum in WordPress?Hi – I tried several plugins but I found them very hard to configure.
So my solution was to use the open source PHPBB (many hosts have a one click installation for this very popular app) and then link to it from wordpress – if you are using WP 3 and the theme support menus its easy to add an external link to point to the PHPBB install.

Thank you!

In reply to: Image upload sizing troubleThanks so much esmi :o)
I guess if you’re a frequent theme swapper like me you have to reupload the images to get the right size!

In reply to: Image upload sizing troubleThanks esmi – but i do have that ticked already.
I have noticed though that its cropping my large images to a max width of 640 (even though ive asked for 940).
Is this because Im using 2010 thame and its clever enough to realise the post width (to allow for a sidebar) is 640px?
