Access to other blogs is allowed. Since this is a test blog I actually decided to start over with a new WP install no other plugins installed. This is the site as it is: https://dev2.siuc.edu/blogtest/
I posted two blogs on the https://dev2.siuc.edu/blogtest/faculty/ site as a test.
I am having the same problem with this site. Does linking to the author page from another blog usually work for other users of the plugin? One thing I could do is choose to link to their website and define their author page url as their web site…but that would be a work-around and would rather use it as it is supposed to be used.
I can’t see the code you posted because it was moderated.
