In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] 3.0 html support and stylingImages do now work in html. Turned out the html did not have space between alt and src tags. Possible that new version of plugin is more fussy.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] 3.0 html support and stylingMike’s issue is a separate issue, nothing to do with html content, but for the record I too used to have events grouped by day. The new version has completely destroyed it.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] 3.0 html support and stylingYes images not working for me either. See my github comment on this issue.
img tags get inserted along with html but the tag’s attributes are all stripped out. So no src or alt which means you get no image.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] 3.0 html support and stylingI raised this another thread too. The html tag is quite popular I think and well documented.
Looking forward to a fix for this.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] HTML parseI have same issue. The new version seems to have broken this feature too!

In reply to: [FBF Facebook page Feed Widget] A feed could not be found at ….Yep this plugin uses old facebook api which no longer works. Try themeloom-widgets instead, includes twitter widget too.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] error displayed in widgetI’m seeing this error too. But as you say only when logged in to google.
But only on one of three feeds!
Any ideas.
Yes I can get mine to work now if I use the simple display options. but It doesn’t like the vent code stuff.

In reply to: [Polylang] Polylang and The Events CalendarEvent Organiser is working for me with POlyLang and is more comprehensive than Events Maker.

In reply to: [Polylang] Header, background, menu problemsThanks or speedy work Chouby.

In reply to: [Polylang] Header, background, menu problemsChouby. You really need to re-test. There is definitely a problem.
When a user changes the background in Appearance->background, all menu locations are lost. This happens wjth default WordPress themes.
In admin-nav-menu.php, update_nav_menu_locations is called when background image is set. This function returns null as it does not fulfill any condition apart form that it does have a menu locations array element (but strangely only one). Because it returns null the background image is not set either and menu locations are cleared.
You need to check it out. It is most definitely broken.

In reply to: [Polylang] Header, background, menu problemsI am using 1.5.1. I have reverted to default theme and disabled other plugins.
Whenever I save background in Dashboard Appearance->Background, it doesn’t set the bg and somehow looses all the Polylang menu location settings. Not even using Customizer.
Any ideas?
Yep, I had already made a similar change to make it work.
Your code also works and allows my Query to work properly now.
Thanks for quick response.
I have been using The Event Calendar on most projects, but have grown tired of its inability to work other things. I wanted a simpler solution that I can integrate into bespoke projects, that doesn’t pollute the WordPress dashboard for clients. Not convinced this is it it yet, but giving it a go on latest project.
Do you have this project on github or bitbucket? I’d be interested in forking and contributing if it fits.

In reply to: 3.8 admin panel design is very badNew dashboard is really poor. Getting tired of WP updates wreaking havoc with clients and users experiences.
What is really annoying is that these are merely cosmetic changes to the dashboard. There have been no real ux improvements been attempted here.
If the dashboard really had undergone a full re-think, then ok, but all they’ve done is re-styled it. So yes we can all have a go at creating our own “classic” style and popping it back in, but come on there are more exciting things we would like to be doing with WordPress.
