In reply to: [LiveChat - WP live chat plugin for WordPress] API keys deprecationSorry for the late reply. As long as you don’t call our API endpoints and use the API Key for authorization, there is no need to change anything.
Thanks for sharing, @unebune. I kinda see where this is coming from, but like with a bunch of other businesses we run a subscription-based service. Our WP plugin just makes things easier when it comes to adding LiveChat to your website. To add to that, we try communicating to our users that they are on a free trial from the very first moment they open an account with us.
If interested, DM at apps[at]livechat.com attn: Daniel-WP with information on your account login and I’ll extend your trial by another 14 days.
@broinfo101 thanks for adding your $0.02! Much appreciated!
While we don’t want to add messaging to the WP admin/Woo dashboard. Instead, we’re looking to give you access to detailed customer information, transaction history, real-time cart preview, Product Cards and much more from the LiveChat Agent App — something similar to what we did with Shopify as you can find here – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dv1A3VyQQw
@nikhilmtmr I believe you’re confusing us with someone else — LiveChat is a provider of cloud-based customers service platform with live support, ticketing system and chat bot capabilities.
Best of luck ^dz
Sorry for the late reply @efinancialmodels — the LiveChat Plugin for Easy Digital Download is our legacy plugin and no longer receiving maintenance updates. It is yet to decide whether we want to create a 2.0 version.
LiveChat – WP live chat plugin for WordPress works perfectly fine with EDD tho, and the only difference is that it doesn’t give you access to view your customer cart.
Hi @pjohanneson — while there may be some security concerns, we understand that most companies, including yours, must have robust security precautions in place. This could be useful and we’ll have a discussion around the implementation.
Separately, thanks for going the extra mile and creating that example — we’ll have it reviewed.
Mind reaching us at apps[at]livechatinc.com so we can have your contact details in case we need to discuss this further?

In reply to: [LiveChat - WP live chat plugin for WordPress] Shcedule and Disable on MaxHi @apps1803131 — there’s already such a feature; it’s possible to control the chat widget visibility after your working hours — please refer to https://www.livechat.com/help/chat-widget-visibility/
So you know, when you go offline you can remove the chat widget altogether or rely on our ticketing form / messaging mode.
There are some workarounds for that, for example detecting the number of chats and then sending some API requests, but that will require custom development. You could also switch your change your chat routing to manual, which will allow your to handle as many chats as you think you can (customers will just wait in the queue).
@gonzomir this has been fixed, thanks again for letting us know.

@gonzomir thanks for bringing this to our attention — we’ve scheduled a fix to be delivered by mid-July. ^DZ

In reply to: [LiveChat - WP live chat plugin for WordPress] Not free?@newoceans you’re right, the plugin is free and it requires a subscription to use. With a 14-day free trial (no need to enter your CC) you can give it a try with no obligation to buy.
@thetallone fixed in the latest update, thanks for catching that.
