  • I would recommend downgrading WordPress to 3.8 or 3.7 instead. I just did that. Was having the exact same problem with Ziplist messing up the editor. I figured 3 different options to fix things:

    1) I emailed Ziplist and they sent over the patch that they have. that fixes the editor but doesn’t allow you to edit the recipes using the plugin. Didn’t like that option too much but it was a last resort

    2) Get the Easy Recipe plugin. It’s supposedly a great plugin and very easy to use and customizable and also nice looking. It’s also recently been upgraded to supporting using Ziplist recipes with no extra work. Only downside is that it’s $45 to buy. Something worth buying down the road for me.

    3) Since everything was working great for me prior to updating wordpress to 3.9, I just downgraded back to that point. If you contact your webhost (BlueHost in my case) and have them restore the WordPress software (not the database, otherwise you will lose your most recent posts), you’ll be good to go. I did that. took about 15 mins on the phone and they were awesome. Now it’s back to an older version and everything works just perfect.

I’ll leave it like this until Ziplist has found a fix for the issue with 3.9.
